Dolofright was put up by Tom Gilge, one of the bolder climbers of "my generation"...(hahaha, that last phrase sounds quirky).
I'd want balls & brawn to do the types of climbs he put up. 'Last saw him in Moab fall of '96; we reminisced about our favorite roped excursion together, Rostrum N Face, done back in '81. Tom is thuggishly strong and always hung it out there proper-like. Last I heard he was tossing big air on BMX bikes and scrappin' good in that arena, with total abandon for his age disparity.
Dolofright is a perfect Gilge route name.
He was our answer to the Brit's Johnny Dawes: both cats brilliantly mad!

I love this thread, especially of late, with the desert, the splitters, and the beautiful NE autumn.
Just back from RR myself, where the desert lays out its muted but majestic charms:
Climbing pics coming soon.
Oh, hey, IndianClimber, did I run into you on Tunnel Vision? If so, nice to meet you! Hope we weren't in your way too much. Our first climb there, and we were moving kinda slow.

I did indeed have a great time, hope you did too! And beautiful pic of RR!
Okay, name this climb:
Hint: I was on it a few days ago, and despite it being a bright sunny day, the sun you see on my helmet is the first sun I'd seen for nearly seven hours.

hmm, not sure GO - Frigid Air Buttress?
here are a couple of pics (maybe not exactly politically correct with a top rope - but anyway, that's a sweet line in Squamish)
From Alsace and its sandstone to compare to RR -
and some bouldering to stay even less politically correct :)

Sunjule, now that you've got photo-posting figured out, I look forward to seeing more from your collection.
That last set is great, especially the characterful (used that word twice in two days here!) bouldering view.
Got some from the Eiger?

In sunjule's second photo of the climber above the sharp edged roof.
Shouldn't that piece of protection below the roof have a longer sling to minimize the potential danger of the rope getting cut on that sharp edge on the roof in the event of a fall in the area above?

Nope, not Frigidaire, but just as long (and cold). Much less adventurous, though.

Correct!
That buttress is pretty exposed to the wind. It was 85 in Vegas, and both me and my partner wore down jackets the entire way up, and were still cold!
Good times.

Sunjule may have pictures of the Eiger Nordwand?
Either way: I wonder how many Tacoans have climbed that face?

Eiger north face but not the 1938 route, she had an adventure up there that might be worth retelling.
