Yes it is, her Mom is from Bangkok, Thailand. She looks just like her Mom when I first met her back in 1980. My new wife is from the Philippines. I guess I have this "Asian Persuasion" thing goin' on and do you believe it, I'm a Dad again after nearly 17 years!

Som Tom and Lap Gai are two of my favorites. And, I'm impressed for you know more than I did after almost fifteen years of being married to her. I'll have to admit, I was spoiled with the food! I never went back to the American way after that!

thanks eeyonkee, I appreciate it - have fun at WoodStone.

Hey mooser -

we might have met at the summit of San Jacinto like winter 75ish -

I saw your pic, up there with skis later - the guy surfer Dave and I met at the cabin sure looked like you - I took a pic of (your?) frozen socks - lost the pic sorry.

climb safe everyone!

Hey Raydog,

I don't think I was on San Jac until about '79 or so, so that was probably some other moose with frozen socks. I did run into you once on Intersection Rock. You and someone else were doing Northwest Overhang, and my brother was doing a photo shoot of me on Overhang Bypass for one of his photography classes (he was a student at Brooks Institute at the time). I used to see you at Woodson quite a bit, too, but you know...that was a long time ago. I'm sure I'll see you one of these days. Meanwhile, keep up the incredible artwork!

Too bad I didn't know about this shindig thing sooner - just now got back from a climbing trip to Southern California.

I started bouldering at Woodson back in 74 and always loved the place. Would be great to see some of my fellow old-timers again - maybe next year for round 2?

Hi Ray, good to hear from you man - it's been ages.

By the way, I still have my original FROG swami/detachable leg loops from when I phased out the 2 inch red webbing variety...

Take care and maybe see you next time there's a blast form the past reunion.

Man, I'm gonna be sorry to miss this wahoo. Ya'll take pictures and tell stories, okay?

Rumor has it there is a copy of the 1978 Crags & Boulders of San Diego guidebook out on ebay right now, the Woodson chapter by Keith Brueckner was the first printed guide to that place (essentially the same as the smaller dedicated pamphlet he later distributed). Pretty rudimentary in comparison to Watusi's later work of art.

Hey Salad,

It is jeff leads from Vista. Is there anything that i could bring to the after shindig partay, at your house? Is it a pot luck? Of course i plan on bringing the normal party favors and what not...BVB has suggested I trim my garden, prior to.

Jeff,

Yeah, let me get to back to you on that. I've been totally slammed and haven't had time to think about it.
