Some old friends have been planting daffodils on their 5 acre property for the last 40+ years. One year they planted 35,000 bulbs, and currently have planted over 1 million bulbs.

My boss lives in the same area, started a little later and he currently has about 150,000 daffodils on his 8 acres. Toughest looking hands of any executive I know.

It is truly incredible when they are blooming.

Aphids love roses like ladies love outlaws who love buying roses for ladies who love them.
Don't give her a short stem, but give her a long stem and, partner, then she might just let you...ahem.

This motel was used as a location in The Dead Pool, a Dirty Harry film.

I checked when I was there.
I found no floaters in their pool.
In fact, it was empty.
I found no skaters using it, either.

Hey Stahlbro
that top plant is native Ice Plant or Mesembryanthemum crystallinum, named for the water cells in the leaf surfaces

It is originally from South Africa, but has seeds that float in Salt Water, and now has spread almost world wide on suitable coast lines.

I grew some from seed for a while, which is easy to harvest from summer dormant plants along the Newport back bay. Not that great of a pot plant.
I just read that's it's edible!

There is another similar species Mesembryanthemum nodiflorum which has the same story, it's not as common at the back bay.
