They like to cause fear uncertainty and doubt, because that unbalances those who might push back, and makes it harder to organize and act.
They like to punish people, because in their world view, someone is to blame for everything, and they should be punished to atone for their blame (which is without end).
Look at the satisfaction embodies in the post about "24 million freeloaders", and it's clear, smashing those of a lesser God is pure pleasure for them.

Jody, it strikes me that the illiterate will be among the first to go. You should be worried. Pensions and benefits are among the most coveted things by corporations and leaders---they want to tap into them, or eliminate them. This is the guys you support. You are their target.
You say that "we" don't have his plan, but it has passed two committees in the House, and been supplied to the CBO, and was released to the public.
The fact that you are too lazy to bother reading it, and therefore it doesn't exist reminds me of an ostrich!

It gets even better. The White House is pushing back against the CBO estimates, but ...... their own analysis shows:
The White House's own internal analysis of the GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare show even steeper coverage losses than the projections by the Congressional Budget Office, according to a document viewed by POLITICO on Monday.
The executive branch analysis forecast that 26 million people would lose coverage over the next decade, versus the 24 million CBO estimate — a finding that undermines White House efforts to discredit the forecasts from the nonpartisan CBO. What a bunch of lying dicks.

I Know these types well. I have worked side by side with them for 30 years.
The attitude is, as long as they put an honest snow man (8 hrs.) on their time sheet five days a week they can afford their toys and mega cable package. WRONG!
It's always taken more than that to get ahead.
Stop blaming the government and dark people for Christ sakes.

Jody, the public revenue/service system works a bit like insurance.
Fair or unfair, the profitability of a healthy policy holder compensates for the liability of the unhealthy.
Much like a small private business owner like myself with employees and government fees, helps to cover the deficient amount of revenue you and other City, State and Federal employees have put back into the system to cover all the services you will receive over your lifetime.
