1. Several nips of tequila and a few good, creek-chilled Oskar Blues red IPAs.
2. My left ankle is quite swollen.
3. I am laid out atop my favorite little granite dome. Nothin' more to be done. 'Sides maybe a little down and up the NW slabs in the gusty chill moonlight.

All right, I burned 600 Calories in my 6.1km run just now. I was going to have a beer, but those margaritas up above convinced me otherwise.
And I *do* make a fine margarita.....

A good Margarita or a good Bloody Mary are the only mixed drinks that I really enjoy any more. I never got into the gin thing. Too many times seeing my brother become totally unhinged while drinking gin just kinda put the kiabash on that . It's bad enough that I want to drive my car a hundred miles an hour for an hour when I do Tequila.

Wayno,
The first time I ever really drank was in high school. I played trombone in a brass quintet, and our music teacher took us away for the weekend, drinking and gigging. I didn't know what to ask him to guy, so he suggested lemon gin. I haven't had that stuff in years!
Up in Canada, we have a drink known as a Caesar or a Bloody Caesar. It is usually made with celery salt, celery and Mott's Clamato, which is a spiced tomato juice containing clam juice. [I am allergic to shellfish, so never had one] Do you Merricans even know what this thing is? Apparently it was invented by some dude in Calgary.
Played trombone last night at a jazz bar in Toronto. And piano, too. Drank beers, though.
Edit: Kinda buzzed on one margarita. Where's the Mouse?

Yeah Pete, we know about Mott's Clamato and Bloody Caesars but it is an acquired taste. It's actually something that I remember being popular in my parent's cocktail days in the sixties and seventies. Fishy drinks never sounded good to me.

Will belay for booze!! Leave the Clamato in Canada where it belongs. May have to swing by for a Belay and Bloody Mary this spring, after hitting the hot springs, of course.

Is a Canadian calorie the same as an American calorie? I bet it's less. You better go run some more.

I just did.
7.28km = 4.52 miles. 716 Calories burned. And I just made myself another margarita!
[What a perfect segue, Susan. I owe you a Blue Moon for that one]
Anita has taken to calling me Flabbio. Accordingly, I am beginning my transformation.
And I just booked our flights to San Francisco on Friday night May 15. So we will reach the Valley a few days later, via various wineries, of course.

Good for you. I walked a quarter mile to dinner and they were out of Heifenwiser so they comped me a really good Margarita.
I'll be on the lookout for you two. I'll head back to California 'bout then.
