The supreme court , the newest legislative branch of the republican party and corporate America , has ruled that paying union dues is unconstitutional...thank god the republicans are looking out for middle class america...how bout another tax break for the 1%...?

Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution states: "The president, vice president and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
Supreme Court justices are civil officers, and subject to the same rules. It is entirely possible to remove justices for "high crimes and misdemeanors". Treason and bribery don't really seem to be cards in play, at this point. And, really, neither are high crimes and misdemeanors.
I mean, if anybody knows how to skirt the law, and get away with it, it's a Supreme Court justice.
It would be a fool's errand to investigate any Supreme Court justice, and hope to find an evidence trail. Even if there was such a trail, it would lead off, and away, and into the ether, never to connect to, nor corroborate, an allegation.
Michael Aventatti said that Michael Cohen was an "evidence hoarder" (one of Avenatti's best lines, by the way).
Anybody who makes it onto the Supreme Court would not be an evidence hoarder.
So, impeaching any member of the Supreme Court would not seem to be feasible.

Yes, forcing public employees to subsidize union speech is unconstitutional, and the recent decision will stop that abusive practice.
And yes, unless you don't think that middle class people pay taxes, this will also have the benefit of slowing down the fleecing of middle class taxpayers by public workers' unions.
The unions basically ruined US manufacturing and are well on their way to bankrupting many states and municipalities.
It's about time we got a Supreme Court that can rein in some of the most egregious abuses.

What killed US manufacturing was a cocktail of disallowing the practice of adding unmitigated toxicity to the environment, a push toward imported materials and goods at the cheapest prices available, and lest we forget - a population that preferred not to perform mind-numbing, health-crippling, repetitive stress injuring work.
Go to a Walmart and you see a whole lot of "America First" supporters who would think only a fool would pay more for a t-shirt made in this country and printed by hand by the artisan who created the graphic art that an imported knock off of the very same design.

If you like unions, you're more than welcome to contribute as much as you'd like to them.
But when the government forces workers to give money to unions as a condition of government employment, that's a problem. Get it? It's not super complicated.
Basically the old regime was allowed because of really weird old case that carved out an exception to normal free speech law cuz the Supreme Court at that time wanted to throw a bone to public-employee unions.
The current Court said enough is enough, applied basic First Amendment principles, and is restoring a little common sense jurisprudence.
Sorry that upsets the libs, but that's the way it's gonna be for a LONG time (at least if nothing happens to Thomas) so don't let the door hit you on the way out if you have a problem with it!
And if Ginsburg can't make it through Trump's term (at least least when there's a Repub Sentate), I almost feel sorry for you, it's kind of gonna take all the fun out of waiting for SCOTUS decisions cuz we all know what's gonna happen-- basically you're totally screwed if you can't get your lib polices enacted by democratically elected officials and want the old liberal Court to help you out. Those days are long gone.

It's certainly been argued that promoters of some agendas over rely on the federal courts. True or not those days are over. I think we are looking at preordained results in all cases involving social issues, corporate interests, environmental protection, etc., for the rest of our lives.
The good news is that winning elections is still an option!
