moosedrool, NZ is good, but a bitch to get into unless you're rich, a citizen, marry one, or are young and have skills they need.
In '93 Australia was a pain in the ass to immigrate to and NZ was piss simple; now NZ is a pain in the ass as well.

FINALLY
The VETTING has begun....about The Donald
"Buzzfeed" is first up after reviewing hours of Trump on the Howard Stern Show
Donald Trump’s rise toward the Republican nomination has been fueled, in part, by his candid and often crude style — more Howard Stern, say, than Mitt Romney.
And the roots of Donald Trump’s rhetoric come, in fact, in part from The Howard Stern Show. Trump appeared upwards of two dozen times from the late ’90s through the 2000s with the shock jock, and BuzzFeed News has listened to hours of those conversations, which are not publically available.
The most popular topic of conversation during these appearances, as is typical of Stern’s program, was sex. In particular, Trump frequently discussed women he had sex with, wanted to have sex with, or wouldn’t have sex with if given the opportunity. He also rated women on a 10-point scale.
“A person who is very flat-chested is very hard to be a 10,” he told Stern in one typical exchange.

New Zealanders are just glorified Australians.
I didn't find that to be the case; quite the opposite if anything.
Most of the construction I saw in Australia was lousy whereas it was quite good in NZ. And when the masons are doing shoddy work you know a place has a bad culture of slacking. The only anomaly I saw in NZ was a baffling lack of window screens. Maybe that will change with the whole Zika thing.

WHITE SUPREMISTS ENDORSE DONALD TRUMP, how cool is that?
As the Republican presidential primary moves into the American south, white supremacist groups are working to mobilize racists to get out the vote for Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, David Duke, the white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard, encouraged his radio show listeners to volunteer for Trump's campaign. "Call Donald Trump’s headquarters [and] volunteer," he said on the "David Duke Radio Show." At Trump campaign offices, he said, "you’re gonna meet people who are going to have the same kind of mindset that you have.”
In Minnesota and Vermont, a white supremacist super PAC called the American National Super PAC has begun circulating a robocall in support of Trump.

Trump quote above is fake. http://www.snopes.com/1998-trump-people-quote/
I read an article about the differences between Trump and the RNCs policies. It was interesting to see in some cases trump was more reasonable and in some the RNC was more reasonable.

Fet, that is exactly right.
Our brother Trump IS more reasonable than most of the R party hacks. He is reaching out to, and actually bringing on board, many who have felt disenfranchised and left out.
He may not always agree with the agendas of those who come aboard, but he will make room for any Americans on the train!

Unless, of course, they are latino or muslim. Given the demographics, I'd say it's not a train destined to stay on the tracks past November even if he can keep from self-destructing between now and then (though hopefully that won't happen until after he vanquishes the other two stooges and secures the nomination ).

No, but if you want some reason for optimism, most republicans aren't voting for him (yet) and there isn't much evidence showing most Americans support him.
Still, enough are supporting him to be troubling.

Not saying that everyone who supports him is a racist. A lot are and a lot more are willing to look the other way as enablers.
The big wall paid by Mexico? Ain't gonna happen.

There is no discernable difference between Trump and Rubio or Cruz. They are just trying to out crazy each other to please their electorate. What is it about Trump that even bothers Republicans?

I'm among those who think Trump will likely lose badly in the general election. But I'm far from sleeping easy. Having a two-party political system is bad enough when both parties are reasonably functional. Having one party that is merely bad, and the other party has gone off the deep end... There are real challenges facing this country and its not a good start.
If Trump wins the nomination, which is looking more likely than not, that in and of itself is making our political system worse. Casual bigotry hasn't been this acceptable for a presidential nominee in more than a generation.
Hillary is far from a slam-dunk candidate even against Trump. Economic crisis, foreign policy crisis, she really does get a felony indictment... Trump has already gotten far closer to the presidency than I'm for one am happy with.

Probably would happen
Sleep well tonight, Trump-haters. He probably won't win.
Not sure about that.

Trump Would Fix Budget Deficit By Chopping EPA
Donald Trump wants to get rid of the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency, ideas he's floated before.
But here's the bad news. The budget for the EPA in 2015 was $8 billion. That's out of a $3.8 trillion federal spending plan, making it 0.2 percent of the budget.
So no, eliminating the EPA won't go very far toward balancing the budget. But it will bring dirtier air and water -- in the interest of making America great again.
Meanwhile, the EPA's budget has been reduced in recent years. It was $10 billion in 2010, but Congress has appropriated less money to the agency in the years since.
