Louie,
You can't fool us with your staged shots, We all know you were standing on the ground in that one.

Tork -

You got me. That bolt is about 40 feet up though and I've got to tell you, it was a bitch lugging the tall stilts all the way out into the Wonderland.

Actually, that was a sketchy bolt to drill. The funky body position (lean right, drill with the left hand over the head, feet on typical Joshua Tree smears, try not to move body but still keep force pushing on the drill) was the only way to keep weight on the hook to where it didn't skate off. The last bolt was probably only 4 or 5 feet below me, but I didn't want to take that fall with the drill in hand...

Good grief, 10b4me, what am I doing to that poor rock? Must have been my evil alter ego, Flerch that day.

Bill Leventhal on Redrum (11b) at the Riverside Quarry:

A great little route that sees a lot of action. For those that want to up the challenge, you can continue on up the steeper headwall above this and climb The Shining at 12c.

Bandito...damn, that's a great photo Louie.

C'mon, don't be shy...post more. This office is making me crazy. :-)

Bob--that's a nice one. And the one with Dale...did that guy have something against eating? I mean, it looks like he has to climb fingercracks as though they were off-widths. Yee-oza!

Here you go L...

Already posted another shot of this route earlier in the thread, but here's Grahm Doe on Shangri La (11a) on the formation of the same name.

This route alone is worth the trip to Shuteye, but it's just one of many fun routes to be found on one of the most colorful walls you'll ever climb on.
