Yeah, Peru Crowley.
I sure couldn't place the rock type locally.
Both shots are from curious angles too.

Chiloe: Looks like you made it to Square Ledge last weekend, Thriller Arete?
Tomcat and I went to Sundown yesterday and climbed Bon Temps Roulee. A great route, long and sustained, killer view from the top. Hehe, a real sandbag at 5.9-
We'll post pictures tonight.

Yup! Fun in the sun.

Love that route! Coincidentally, climbed it at just this time last October. Didn't know anything about it, just "Hey, here's a 9 I've never done" in the guidebook.
We'll post pictures tonight.
By all means do. We got fall leaves but no action shots from our ascent last year.

Chiloe: Nice color in that picture and just as beautiful yesterday. As Tom rapped off the top, it started to mist and there was a rainbow on top of all those fall colors. Amazing!

beautiful Roy... perhaps you could have taken a bit of liberty with Robert Frost:
The peaks are lovely, high and steep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Chiloe - climbing in the Northeast woods in fall is a glorious memory for me, the crisp clear air and the red and yellow carpet of the Hudson River Valley spreading out from under the 'Gunks, or hugging close to the base of Cathedral Ledge or Cannon Mt. A blaze of glory before the muted tones of November, soft light and the sticks of bare trees making a soft landscape, the smell of wet granite.
All these pictures are wonderful... thanks!

A fine word-picture.

if you're referring to the south face - it's a good climb with a bunch of free climbing and straight-forward aid. it was my first wall, so i have nothing else to compare it to.

the dolofright is stout and beautiful route; i might have bit off more than i could have chewed that day...
the climbing is all there but you've got to do a couple of committing run-outs...
fell off the crux twice and lost motivation...though there is a bolt for ya right were you need it most.
