Although, I have to say that I feel for the guy being sent out to defend Flynn when his boss new the truth of the matter.
The sunshine rule states that you should always act in way that assumes that all secrets will be revealed. The Vice President has a short list of official duties: step in immediately if the president dies or resigns and breaking ties in the senate.
