Norton,
Are you trying to put me into the young Universe, young Earth category? Because clearly I'm not. Universe approx. equals 14.7 - 14.8 B years. Our Sun, Sol equals approx. 5.0 B years. Earth approx. equals 4.56 B years.
What would you say about Aristotle? Copernicus? Tycho Brahe? Johannes Kepler? Galileo? Newton? How about Einstein?
All Men of science and men of faith (of varying degrees).

Hi Norton...you probably know this, but I wanted to interject that most state board of educations in the U.S. mandate course fundamentals and dispense written delineation of requisite material...

Norton you are clueless and you don't know what you're talking about. Einstein was not an atheist.
Read PhD Gerald Schroeder, The Science of God. The Book of Nature and the Book of G-d are in agreement.

Einstein was not an atheist.
Albert Einstein: God is a Product of Human Weakness
The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.
Letter to philosopher Eric Gutkind, January 3, 1954
It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.
Albert Einstein, letter to an atheist (1954), quoted in Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas & Banesh Hoffman
During the youthful period of mankind's spiritual evolution, human fantasy created gods in man's own image who, by the operations of their will were supposed to determine, or at any rate influence, the phenomenal world.
Albert Einstein, quoted in: 2000 Years of Disbelief, James Haught
It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I also cannot imagine some will or goal outside the human sphere.... Science has been charged with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
Albert Einstein, "Religion and Science," New York Times Magazine, November 9, 1930

This whole conversation is moot. It's all very simple.
When you have a world governed by religious sycophants, who consistently speak about love, tolerance, and respect, but display none of those qualities, what you get is....
Drun roll please...
Intolerant, bigoted, hateful ignorant morons.
I despise the term "gay marriage". How about this, two people who love one another wish to be wed, and share in the exact same rights "normal" people enjoy...
Let us not forget that the "niggers" were not even consider "human" in this country until the mid 20th century.
That speaks volumes. Hmmm, I wonder who was behind that one...
Edited:
Acknowledging ones existence, but yet denying their basic fundemental rights is pure hypocrisy despite how you dress it up.

Love has had nothing to do with it until historically recent times and only in societies rich enough to imagine life beyond struggling to providing food, shelter and security.

If you need to be "inlighten", spelled enlightened, then you are truly too stupid to understand the explanation.

There are some tomes of knowledge that are deeply guarded. The government does not want you to know where they are kept, much less what they contain.
The are called books.
Try reading them, instead of eating or burning them.
