Wow! I just got to work & was very pleasantly surprised to see that i had received a package from Johntp, & what a package it was! Not only was the 1962 Sierra guide in there but a care package with bunch of other great books & a couple tshirts made by the notorious "auctioneer" of this very thread! I'll be down soon to divy up these goodies with u Mike as I'm sure you'll be very stoked, or if ur in Whis this weekend or passing thru Squam hit me up!
Thanks again for your very generous donation to this cause John, you are quite a guy to part with such things, cheers!

Repost of my offer. Think it got buried. No takers yet :(
I run my own carpet cleaning business. My standard prices are $45 two room minimum. $119 for 1200 square feet and 10Cents/sf beyond that.
I will go half that price for anyone who wishes to help Big Mike. (upto $100 total for a single job (ie 2000 SF)) All proceeds will go to Big Mike Via US Postal International Money Order. I will photo the money order and envelope and email that to you as receipt.
Mike has sent me the address to send checks to and will confirm when he gets them.
Areas of Service are Reno, Tahoe, Truckee, Carson, Fallon hell anywhere within 50 miles of Reno basically
PM me via ST and I will call. My phone will let me know within 10 minutes of an e-mail via PM.
I am not at all here to advertise my business On CMacs site. Thus I am not attaching my website. I am glad to donate my time and expenses to help a brother out. At half price it will hopefully be a great way to get those nagging carpet spots, traffic areas and procrastinating out of the way for a great price and cause.

hey there say, ryanD ... the deer is still valid, i just left if here for as long it is needed...
had an egret, but it never got any bites so i switched the painting to the deer... more of something seen by climbers, :))
:)
i can't afford the postage, this month... but i could in may... i have used my funds this month, and donated funds to send out special occasion surprises for various climbers, etc...
but you may have it sooner, postage for this size, it is only about
11 x 14 ... so it cost about 8 bucks to mail...
:)

Hey, Neebee...I'd like to talk with you about the egret, but next month, if that'd be ok. I'm starting a new job so I'm strapped right now.

Had lunch with Big Mike yesterday, what a great guy !
I have an unusual item to offer for auction.
One First Ascent of a new route in Skaha. Scrubbed, bolted and ready to go. I had removed the first three hangers and intended to send it when the weather improved.
I’ve spent approximately $ 75.00 - $100.00 in hard costs to equip the route.
Eight bolts long; Climb a short face to a discontinuous hand crack, through jugs over a roof, face climbing to a flaring off hands finish. Probably around 5.11A.
A chance to be forever immortalize in a guide book!

Nice one rolfr, good on ya bolting a crack for Mike. Now maybe he won't have to keep lugging a rack around Skaha, or maybe he'll chop it & keep it trad :-)

Intresting auction item there Rolfy.
Cool idea!
I have yet to hear back from philo about the cartoon I purchased. I've email him my address and told him I would cover shipping if he'd like.
But no reply. Strange.

Only one or two spots to place gear, the rest needs fixed pro, but the winning bid can remove or add anything. I overdrilled the bolt holes so the bolts can be hammered in and filled.

Wow!! Too cool!! Thanks Rolf!! And the fa? Wow! I'll need someone to lead it for me if we're gonna snag it soon. Shh don't tell Henry Barber about it ;)
Luke i'm sure Philo has been busy and forgot or something. What's up Philo? I'll send him a PM too.
As to me not lugging a rack around skaha i won't be leading for a bit so it'll be up to my leader to choose what we're climbing... I know that the gear in that crack must be crappy if Rolf put bolts beside it...
