Visited with John again the other night. He was doing great. Pain and discomfot are the early and constant companions of the healing. But the Dude abides! John's spirit is bigger than the myth. We jaw jacked for a few hours and I left him with some very tasty pastries as requested!

He does pullups on the trapeze thing above his head
OK! Excellent, JL. Try working up to a front lever!
Seriously, miss your pithy and articulate posts, your turn of phrase and your humor . . . they make even the most dreadful thread a pleasure to follow.

Turns out, those heavy hospital wheelchairs are much easier to control wheelies with. I got pretty good at it when I got hit by that rock that Collins pulled off the Diving Board.
When Warren McDonald let me try his ultralight high performance chair it was really squirrely and tippy.
But you might want to heal up a little more before you go tearing around on 2 wheels there John, since there is a learning curve that likely includes a wipe out or three.
Ouch!

Glad to see you're doing well. Know you have a ton of support, but if there is anything I can help with let me know. lynne l.

John was released from the hospital on Thursday after 5 weeks there. He's at home and resting now and will rehab his leg back like the mofo he is. He's spry and well.
