Yes, been busy with life. Thanks for caring. I've been snooping ST just haven't been saying much.
Climbing as often as I can as I go through this new chapter in my life. Rocks remain the same and that gives me comfort and something I can relie on not to change much, and they don't. The outdoors in G-d's creation and having the opportunity to talk with G-d gives me peace. The physical movement keeps the body strong and the mind clear. Climbing is therapy. Climbing is life. I'm glad he gave us the ability to do so. It's so simple in essence really.
Anyway, long HD video above is really good. Lots of people come out to talk about it. It's real and its a mind blow for most. The Bible said this would happen. We are not alone. It's good to know exactly who we are dealing with.
Next we need to talk about "Giants" on the History Channel. The Vieira Brothers are doing a great job and hanging in there under all the criticism. I hope they get a second season. The Nephilim (giant wicked offspring of fallen angels and fallen man -- hybrids if you will) were all over the world even here in great numbers in North America. Why has the Smithsonian lost so many remains that were given them and that is fully documented?
Now there's a controversy and conspiracy that is unbelievably mind blowing. Sometimes Universities and institutions of science don't play fair. Sometimes they practice and are the antithesis of science. Sometimes they practice:
Hiding the Truth
Truth suppression
Censorship
Misleading
Disinformation
Gatekeeping
Stonewalling
"Contrary to their public image, scientists are normal, flawed human beings."13 They are as capable of prejudice, covetousness, pride, deceitfulness, etc., as anyone.”

Citation required. And if you're gonna cite the Bible as authoritative, then you've failed your first history test.

Why has the Smithsonian lost so many remains that were given them and that is fully documented?
Because they haven't, and the reason why is no such remains have ever been found or 'documented'. You could substitute 'sasquatch' for 'nesphilim' for equal effect and veracity.
Here's a real mystery to wrap minds around. More obvious than some of the stuff on the moon.
It is and the response of Marc Rayman, mission director and chief engineer for the Dawn mission, is exactly what you'd hope from scientist / engineer:
"Yes, we can confirm that it is something on Ceres that reflects more sunlight, but what that is remains a mystery"
Yes, we see it, but without more data we don't have the slightest clue as to what it is.
You could certainly speculate that it's god winking at us or a thermo-nuclear explosion from the war between the Cerians and the Dalarians - but, that wouldn't be science.

Boy is that a circular argument.
Citations required from the Bible, prove it, but you can't use the Bible since it isn't an authoritative history. Lol
The Bible, the Tenahk (old covenant) and the B'rit Hadasha (new covenant) gives very specific details on our history, where we are at the moment, and our future to come. G-d tells us. You just have to read it. It's as simple as that.
The Good Book, talks a great deal about Lucifer and how he fell and all about his intended conspiracy, the Nephilim and how they came about and how evil they are, Lucifer's plan for our time and his "power of the air" and Yeshua saying exactly what would occur in the last days and how we would see signs and wonders and deception in the heavens that would be so unnerving that hearts will fail and if the time wasn't cut short, then even the elect would be lost. He told us what would happen and to be ready.
So RMuir, when the proverbial doo-doo hits the fan, we believers told you so. Maybe then you'll seek G-d. He is compassionate and forgiving, full of mercy and love. Some say the last days will be nothing like we have ever seen and will be G-d's last alter call for mankind to be saved. Don't miss it the chance to come back to G-d.
The SyFy program is good. I'm guessing you didn't watch it. They talk to many whom the world respects, the scientific community respects. Two Moon Walkers Mitchell and Aldrin have a great deal to say, including those who have worked with NASA and had direct access to those who were in NASA and had very direct and revealing private conversations where with technicians and scientists were very open and honest.

^^^ I don't think that an exclusive "or" is necessary in this particular case…
proverbial doo-doo That pretty-much sums it up.
Christian eschatologists, like you, have been raving about the end times for several millennia now and there's still nothing to show for it. See List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events for dates to add to your iCalendar.
The Bible said this would happen. I'm calling your bluff… Where exactly—chapter and verse—did the Bible posit alien spacecraft on the Moon? Hmmm?

Welcome back Klimmer! Not that you were, gone. Just spreading your attention around life in a more balanced way.
RMuir - Great link to the Wikipedia Apocalypse page. I'm sure a dedicated researcher could expand this x100.
I grew up in the face of the US/USSR apocalypse threat. I used to believe in it quite a bit. But I cancelled my subscription to all things apocalyptic in the 1990's. Preparing for NO apocalypse is much more profitable.
I have a number of friends like Klimmer who firmly believe in alternate histories, conspiracies, and electrifying things. I even spent 10 minutes once listening to the great Mr Bridwell. He'll tell you some great things of which he is very certain.
I remain open but believe only what I can see. Keep the gobbledygook coming though. I love it!

Re the Bible - Old and New Testament
Many people put a great deal of faith and significance into this document.
If you are into archaeology one of the greatest publications is Biblical Archaeology Review. It is superbly technical and well edited in it's mission. Very scientific.
I'd just like to state that the Bible itself is an artifact, one of the oldest.
What it says has been twisted and turned by by translation, editing, and people who typeset things.
Since many passages do not seem to make sense, people of faith often seek to "interpret" it. I prefer to blame the translator for not doing a good job.
Also, it may be loaded with marketing propaganda. I'm guessing some of the earliest Popes had some of that woven in to help boost conversions.

In a few months a scientist will publish a new theory about the Moon that is amazing and just slightly less strange than Klimmer's ark, although somewhat better supported. I'm not kidding. You heard it here first.

Chiloe - one of my favorite quotes about the origin of the moon was from Bill Hartmann from the University of Arizona. After giving a nice lecture about the serious issues with each of the origin theories of the time (1990ish) he said the obvious conclusion was that the moon did not exist. Tongue in cheek, but it got a good laugh from the audience.
For no good reason tonight I checked on some of the classic "nutcase" threads on Supertopo. Wow. When did americans become so ignorant and give up fact-based conversations? You see if everywhere from ST posters to Senators.

Mike, you're right, and the explosion of conspiracy beliefs preferred to real science or history has become a great problem, because people act/don't act, vote and even bomb or shoot as if they're true. Hard not to see the huge role the internet plays in fanning conspiracy theories, but perhaps a large part of that is just feeding confirmation, organization and more righteous anger to people who are eager to believe conspiracies anyway.
There's recent research on this topic of "conspiracist ideation," it's something I've been meaning to read up on.
As for the moon, in another thread I've mentioned that current orthodoxy about its origin (via impact) may be coming up for revision. No conspiracies involved there, however.
