and why does ST condone, promote, and endorse drinking & posting drunk on Friday nights??
The Why-does-SuperTopo-condone-and-promote-bigotry thread has driven me to drink (early).
After thinking that reasonable folks on ST had ended the whining of a few wieners yesterday, with reason and logic: the wieners continue to whine.
Thus promoting my drinking and watching Boise State whup on on Fresno State in football tonight.

Usual non alcoholic beer, #1 of 2 for the night. Very tasty Paulaner N/A.
F*#k wall climbing. I mean, seriously. Getting to Dinner was the hardest 3 pitches of my f*#king life, (not due to the grade, just other stuff) I got beat to sh#t, and all I want to do is go back and do it better, faster, MORE. What the F is wrong with me. And it's all YOUR fault. All of y'all.
I'm not climbing right now because Red Rock has this thing called a "gate" they close on you, and write you tickets and such for being out there after hours. But I will be out there tomorrow morning and that's good enough for me.

hey there, say... had to stop by...
how is anita doing in yosemite, :)
say, ooooops, i never seem to abide by the rules, as, i really overlook them... :)
but now that i just saw them posted, well, i will try just a bit, to
match up:
THE CURRENT QUOTE OF RULES:
Oct 10, 2014 - 05:39pm PT
Rules:
1. Your current consumption:
3 greyhounds, workin on 4
2. At least one inflammatory comment **:
The S.L. Cards suk!!! GO GIANTS!!!
3. Why you are drunk and typing on McTopo instead of doing something
worthwhile, like driving to the crag.:
Watching the ALCS game.
my try for the bulleyes to match in, here:
1. fresh apple-lemon juice and a swig of scotch...
2. 'mat' --it IS 'in' inflammatory... my comment is: i need a
better door-MAT, for my pup-dog, :) as--she gets mighty muddy feet,
round about this time of year, :O
3. am sunk in here, comfy and cozy, as, i just posted a
"chappy turns 60th thread"
say, yes, you may go check it out, :)
happy good eve, to all... got to go paint now, :)
not 'sunk' here anymore, am springing out, over to the ol' easel, :)

Started with a Black In Black from the 21st Amendment Brewery. Outstanding! Unfortunately it was my last. Switched to box Chardonnay. Got a buzz but my stomach doesn't feel to good at the moment.
So Republicans are idiots. In Kentucky, a very red state, the Healthcare Connection, a state sponsored health insurance marketplace, gets very high ratings citizen polling. However when the same poll with the same people questions them about Obamacare it gets extremely low ratings. It is the same damn program. What nitwits!
Bouldering local tomorrow so I'm not on the road. Climbing local Sunday and Monday. Weather forecast sucked for the Daks otherwise I would be headed there now.

Moab beer. Hard to find anything else here unless I'm willing to go down dark alleys to the STATE approved liquor store. Why can't Moab be it's own state.
Poor poor Pete. Lost and lonely.

How's this for a great collection of wines? The now-free-from-her-external-fixator Anita and I picked these up from Livermore and Placerville in El Dorado County. You know, in between visits to the El Cap Meadow, the Mobil Station, the hot springs on the East Side down from the Green Church, and lots of other beautiful and exciting places.
From left to right:
3 Steves - Livermore. A great sparkling wine made from a combo of a white and a red varietal, can't remember which two
Lewis Grace - Placerville. Pinot Gris
Lava Cap - Placerville. We went there for the Barbera, but ended up with the Sauv Blanc and the Chard
A couple more great Chards, oakey and buttery
Boeger Barbera 2011 - Placerville. Double Gold Medal!!
Bent Creek 2009 Syrah - Livermore
Bumgarner 2010 Petite Sirah - Placerville. Superb.
A TJ Zin, not bad for the price, actually. We drank it on the beach at Pacifico
Mastroserio Special Reserve 2010 Zin - after a great afternoon of jazz and wine tasting
Sucks to be back in the Great White North, but at least we won't be thirsty..... ;)
Cheers, eh?

you guys sure are a cute couple
so glad to see that you are free of the torturous contraption
To much wine gives me a head ache but only if I have missed my supper
Wine country has just come on to the TV. A story here seems to fit a long time ago but not far away at the Uberfall in the ol'Gunks ya know. Every week on weekends as the sun would be setting a man with very curly hair Morrey Jaffe, would retrieve wine bottles and open one or two. Then as the prosession of returning climbers walked past the hi hellos would lead to the invitation to lift a dixe cup of wine and toast the days climbs. This tradition had started and continued for twenty years. A sizable group we all came from climbing to the alfresco event.
talk would cycle around some re-telling exciting moments of the days climb others having news of the goings on of traveling climbers. The most bottles ever finished were on special occasions. the most common was to celebrate a proposal young climbers growing up and moving on.
the wine was just a small amount of the love that was in the air. There was a stalwart group of us that secretly tried to 'pass the hat' .Morrey often took the bus from NY City and paid for all the wine himself. No one ever really knew why he just did that. I would see to it that the thirty $$ Made it into his climber hands. He was an odd duck but when he was gone we all missed that smile and the wine tastings he knew his grape. Your speaking of good 'grape' is so like reminiscing of a forgotten time. The weekends in the Gunks from 1970 to 1996 or7 and what ever became of that fun? I can only tell you that it changed. The swell of people was not the only thing but seems that many have forgotten thanks for jogging my mind .
