zBrown, it's not like anybody in the Americas was running all over the African continent with big butterfly nets scooping up darkies to enslave them. The Africans have been enslaving each other for thousands of years, and the Europeans were johnny-come-lately as a fresh market for the supply.

But, Mom, all the other kids were doing it, too!

I understand that Trump's latest foreign policy fantasy is that he's going to make China stop North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

I don't think this ridiculous plan would be likely to elicit a favourable response from the Chinese, and is an even more dangerous idea than the one he has about getting Mexico to pay for a U.S. version of the Berlin Wall.

Does anyone in possession of a rational brain support this blustering bully?

The real question is just when was America great, but ...

I wonder what would happen if someone ran all over Africa with big butterfly nets and scooped up a boatload or two of nigras, but they couldn't find anybody to sell them to.

Cash on the barrel head, eh?

Ultimately, economics has power and influence. China is North Koreas lifeline. Coincidentally they are in a tough time right now. Sanctions make a bad situation worse. Ask Iran. The golden question is how long will North Korea stand with their backs against the wall and their people starving untill they do something desperate and devastating? Maybe Obama could go there with his noble prize and sing comb by ah. Tell them everything is going to be ok. Ha. There is decades worth of hatred towards America there. China is the only option. And they need America more than they need North Korea. So maybe trump is right.

Well like it or not the US has influence, there are positive incentives that economically will benefit the Chinese, especially when they are (potentially) on the brink of a major economic disaster. Do you think North Korea will help them more than the US

You never hear about creating more peace with Russia, but ultimately creating more of an alliance with Russia will alienate China more and make them do what we want with North Korea. Trump has extended the olive brach to Russia. Everyone thinks Trump is an idiot, which he clearly has been more successful than critics could have possibly imagined. Even if you hate him and consider him your enemy. A wise man should never underestimate their enemy.

trailridge127: Do you seriously think that an alliance with a murderous ex-KGB thug like Putin is an intelligent thing for the U.S. to even consider?

dirtbag is absolutely right - Trump wasn't talking about the U.S. using diplomacy to urge N. Korea to abandon its nuclear program - he was saying that he would compel China to do so. It is certainly not in China's strategic interest to have an ICBM-equipped N.Korea next door but it would be a moronic act for the U.S. to order China around these days. The Chinese could do some catastrophic economic damage to the U.S., especially since that's where a huge number of U.S. jobs have been sent since the beginning of the reign of the 1%ers.

Your analysis is deeply flawed, to put it mildly.

Also, don't forget that your hero bankrupted himself 4 times, and I would consider the use of the term "wise man" and Donald Trump in the same sentence to be an oxymoron - with the emphasis on moron.

EDIT:

PotatoHead: Would you kindly explain that picture for us?

I have communicated with Mr. Obama (or his stand in) via email and unfortunately he does not subscribe to the ST Forum. (also Trump, Cruz and Hillary).

If only it were a little bit easier to reach these idiots we'd have it all ironed out in no time.

I wonder if we could reach someone in North Korea.

But, Mom, all the other kids were doing it, too!

Nah. More like: "Y'all been doin' it to yo'selfs." Always have been.

Still are.

Even here, too many of 'em jes cain't get 'nuff o stil jackin' n killen' n mo.

In the Walmart parking lot just the other day, a woman was trying to get her about 12yo son out of the back of her car. He didn't want to get out, and she was getting more and more angry. Finally, she unleashed on him with this: "Git outta dah cahh, little nigger! Git OUT NOW, nigger, befo I whup yo sorry black ass!"

And I thought, "Wow! NOBODY I know imposed anything on you to make you think like that or talk like that to one of your OWN. What chance does the 'little nigger' have when YOU keep the next generation in the gutter like that? How is he going to perceive himself as he grows up when YOU demean him in verbiage DESIGNED to keep him thinking all ghetto and racist? YOU are making the next generation of racists, not me or anybody I know of."

I am NOT like some of you that fall all over yourself to LIVE with head hung low, singling out yourself and everybody else in your generation for special condemnation over things that WE didn't do! WE have done everything in our power to give a helping hand, but the "git outta dah cahh, little nigger" mindset still PREVAILS, and NOBODY I know is keeping them in that mindset. Instead, virtually everybody in this nation treats them with kid-gloves, while they treat THEMSELVES like trash.

Not one nation on Earth has been perfect, but slavery has been a FACT of life globally as long as there's been recorded history, and there has always been a market for it. Still is. WE are not there anymore.

THEY had wars, captured themselves, and sold themselves into slavery. I'm sorry for that, but I had nothing to do with it.

And in small proportion the woman calling her own son "little nigger" IS selling him right back into slavery. I'm really sorry for that, but I had nothing to do with that either.

There's a HUGE proportion of Americans today that are TIRED of paying and paying for something WE didn't do! We owe the gansta-rap, hip-hop, BLM-while-blacks-are-the-real-killers-of-blacks, entitlement crowd NOTHING at this point. My advice to them now is: Quit killing yourselves and keeping yourselves enslaved, and you'll quickly find that America is BY FAR the best place on this planet for you to really make it! MANY of you have. NOBODY is keeping you down anymore.

Trump's a buffoon. But he's not wrong about a groundswell of "fed up" or outright anger about the endless shaming and paying for something WE didn't do and don't want any part of.

The pendulum is-a swingen'.

Trump is not stupid. He is extremely dangerous, precisely because he is not stupid, but because he is intelligent.

Trump can be instructively compared to Ted Kaczynski, the serial killer known as the Unabomber. Kaczynski was a child genius prodigy, entered Harvard at 16, received his PhD in mathematics at 25, and became the youngest professor – of any kind – to be hired by the University of California. A few years later, Kaczynski withdrew to his now-famous shack in the Montana backwoods, and embarked on his decades-long campaign of mailing homemade bombs to people he didn’t know.

Like Kaczynski, Trump is (in his own words) “Really, really, really smart”. And, like Kaczynski, Trump has a twisted and dysfunctional vision for the future of America.

“I am going to go in there, and I am going to take the oil,” Trump has bellowed to his hypnotized and stupefied audiences.

Wow, seriously, I mean wow. Maybe need a little basic psychology and economics to go with all that philosophy. Good thing you similarly had nothing to do with the genocide of Native Americans which spans the entire history of and unavoidably defines aspects of our nation - the holocaust we don't ever speak of. But wtf, they brought it on themselves and you and I (and Walmart) sure as f*#k had nothing to do with it, bear no responsibility, and certainly no need to understand how escaping a condition is not the same thing as escaping the conditioned mindset.
