Rancher +Militia vs BLM,trouble on the range.(OT)

The militia men are getting worked by the oldest trick in the book: agents provocateur. Half the people in that camp are probably FBI agents.

Please cite the California case or statute that allows resistance to an "unlawful" detention.

[A peace officer may legally detain someone if [the person consents to
the detention or if]:
1. Specific facts known or apparent to the officer lead him or her
to suspect that the person to be detained has been, is, or is about
to be involved in activity relating to crime;
AND
2. A reasonable officer who knew the same facts would have the
same suspicion.
Any other detention is unlawful.

That's one possible explanation as to how "protesters" were (allegedly) pointing loaded guns at fed cops seemingly with no repercussions--could be they were cops themselves, just doing some acting. Fun job if you can get it I suppose; as a taxpayer, the entire affair is nauseating.
