Now, Tarbaby... Bolton and I are trying our damnedest to get the Elder-states Men (a.k.a., the Stonemasters) to sack up but, really now, the emphasis is on elder states rather than statesman.

With experience comes wisdom, and I'm thinking that this gig smells of a massive sandbag. Convening on the PMB's home turf, as it were. (We note that you guys have declined the second-day invitation to visit dime lands, the fabled Mt. Rubidoux.) Without an opportunity at redemption, many of the Old Dads appear to wanna keep to the Geriatric Home. (However, we're still trying to drag out a few more if Nurse Mildred Ratched will let em...)

Hopefully, the G_Gnome can convince the Mutant to join in the fun, and we can all carry around bottles of singlemalt and watch the epic battle.

"I need a photo-opportunity,
I want a shot at redemption.
Don't want to end up a cartoon
In a cartoon graveyard."

Rubidoux will still be there Sunday. Won't be as green, there won't be as many snakes, and KP can show us the dimes. Sleep off the hangovers, and move the party to Rubidoux on Sunday afternoon? Two days of nostalgia for the price of a single ticket... Think about it.

HoHos are cylindrical, frosted, cream-filled cakes that are made by the Hostess company and are distributed in the United States and Egypt. The Interstate Bakeries Corporation owns the Hostess company. HoHos are similar to Yodels, which are made by Drake's (also a brand of Interstate Bakeries Corporation), and Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls. Some claim they go well with Glenmorangie.

Rubberducks on Sunday should be for realz. Anyone doing it, I'm in. Where the f*#k do you park these days so you don't get gang raped?

RM,

I think fair is fair. SMs get bagged on Sat. The PMBs (maybe) get bagged on Sunday. Hey, after Sat. when nobody can lift their arms, it should be easy to do. But I hear PMBs have secret reserves. Sunday should be "The Doux."

I think PMBs et al. are game. But if the SMs don't show in mass on Saturday, we'll never know . . .

Hey Munge, that's the spirit! This'll be a hoot.

If Rubidoux is also on the docket for Sunday, won't Henny be pissed that he'll not be there! (More for the rest of us, though.)

I'm committed for Sunday AM, but I'll be at RubberDucks by 12:30. Fo sho!

Na man. Bring that NorCal shizzle to the pebble fest! We only ridicule those that don't show! As KP says, "Be there or be slandered."

Killer photos of those hillsides, Bob!

People no need to panic. Remember, its a "Reunion" not a "Competition." Climbing is for fun. We are all full of it. If most of us climbed as much as we typed on the "internets," we would be like Das Huber Brothers.

With that said, is it true that the PMBs > the SMs? I don't know. I have pondered this question now for a long time. It is one of those questions for the ages. It keeps me up at night wondering. The sleep that I have lost . . .

(By the way, I'm not a PMB. I am a PMB wannabe. I guess I'm just the unofficial cheerleader for my homeboys. I have a soft spot for them since we all went to the same HS.)

On Edit:
I would hope anyone reading this post knows it is meant in fun and jest and in the spirit of friendly ribbing. Just doing my little part to stoke the fire.

RE: "but if i do go you have to promise you won't make fun of my lack of climbing skills!!!"

you could probably and without much doubt out-climb me and I'm not kidding - I am in terminal poor shape period BUT if I could go SS, I certainly would 'cause it's a really fun place and a great time outdoors.

don't worry about it - it'll be a blast.

honest.
