In fact, all Obama did was release a bunch of Iranian funds here in the US that have been on lockdown for a long time.
You may not like the terms of the deal, but characterizing it as 'ransom' is just plain lying, delusional, or manipulative. Or a lot of all of these things.

ok, so let us assume that the Administration DID pay 400 million to free American hostages
I say GOOD, 400 million is a pittance in our 3 trillion dollar annual budget
get our people home and safe, congratulations for freeing them

I'm not weighing in on "why it might have been paid, or not" but I'm not so sure it would be prudent to be blazing around in neon, "hey 400 million in cash on board".
