One of my best professors in grad school, Thomas Sowell, has some cogent observations about this election. Here are some excerpts:
"A President Trump could of course create a longer-lasting stigma [for the Republican party]. However, he might possibly be sobered up by the responsibilities of the presidency. But someone who has not matured in 70 years seems unlikely to grow up in the next 4 years."

I don't think so, apogee. Voting for Hillary is certain death for a Republican, but not necessarily for the country. Voting for Trump is possible death for both a Republican and the country. The only good choice for a Republican is to vote Johnson/Weld.

Why is it certain death? Because a Republican would be stoned to death by their fellow Republicans?
If you are referring to where the leadership of either candidate would lead the country as a whole, a Trump presidency would be certain death, whereas Hillary leadership could go a variety of directions.

Should be fun watching Mr. Khan's fan base evaporate as details of his work are exposed.
Maybe he is just a victim of rightwing propaganda. Maybe the Breitbart story is all lies. But the deletion of his business website (right after hitting the big time) does look a little hinky.

If we take Trump’s claim more broadly, that Clinton was inattentive throughout the hours in which the attacks occurred, none of the many congressional investigations into Benghazi have made that assertion.
We rate Trump’s claim False.

By 10:30 PM eastern time the attack was over. We had regained control of the situation. so what should she have done. Stayed and wrung her hands?
security forces regained control at 2:30 AM Benghazi time. There is a 6 hour time different between libya and washington DC. So it was 8:30 PM in Washington when security forces had retaken the embassy. The Ambassador had already been found.
I really don't get what you are saying Riley or why you are focusing on her going home to sleep. Do you ever sleep?
