This one had us stumped for a long time. Thought it was gunna be a V2 maybe 3. Rated it V6, but would like to see some more ascents for a consensus. Wouldn't be surprised if it's been done before, but we called it Slayer.

Yeah, there's a photo of Kerwin on the Hueco Problem in Fry's SoCal bouldering guide. 5 stars for sure.

After reading Master of Rock and discovering a photo of Gill bouldering in Kentucky, I drove the length of the state to find it in Pennyrile Forest State Park. I was 18 (1977) and totally stoked. Still my favorite.

So awesome BVB! I know it's just a optical illusion, but looks like that stick is ready for impalement.

What rating is that?

1990ish,

I did a timer photo of myself, pre-selfie
I was documenting it as a new area

Very Famous "Binding Arête" is to the right

Some other problems on the boulder were named with "Ice" as a theme

I took a glance of this area once from a high ridge on Queen Mt.

The next time I was up on the ridge, I had Binocs, so I check out the boulders and they look great, in fact !!!!
There are a bunch of people bouldering on them!!!!
God damn it, I missed out, it's probably ML and crew
I should have went straight there last year....

Well I go there next week just to check it out.
And none of the obvious problems have chalk on them?
and the bunch of boulderers I saw from above were just Outward Bound noobs doing some primitive camping

it turned out to be a neat area, but limited
RM and crew discovered a bunch more problems

Johnny Woodworth on the Satellite boulder rt. side, Josh
Full sequence
On sight

I was able to take many pics of this because he was up on the thing for like 10 minutes, he was able to hang out as long as it took on those crappy holds to figure it out and get up the thing. A Master climber for sure.
