near full, nearer full, and full moon, these last few days...
wow, lights up the whole sky...
sadly, pics are not working out...
lights up the whole yard, though, and is
very very special to see, and watch, as it moves to later-spots...

Back home once again, walking in the dark through the citrus and avocado groves of my rural community in So Cal. So, so far removed from the 4 months I just lived and loved at Tioga Pass.
But it doesn't matter where I walk, 1600 feet or 10,000 feet, the moon is up there and ready to give birth to fullness. My camera cannot even begin to do justice to this night or the universe I would so love to capture. But that doesn't matter either. It's there, imprinted forever in my heart and mind.

MOONBOW! In Carson City tonight. I couldn't believe my eyes. Looked like a ghost rainbow framing Nevada's capital and the mountains over the eastshore of Tahoe. So totally cool. Once I was sure I wasn't seeing things, I turned to check the light source, and the full moon was peeking out from the clouds, having just risen over the hills. Breathtaking.
Crazy day started with fire and ended with a Moonbow!
