Those who have had NDE's (Near Death Experiences) say that suicides mostly feel restless, and want to reincarnate again soon so that they can pass the test the next time around. It is sort of like not passing a grade in school, you have to repeat that grade again, i.e. reincarnate with a similar problem to overcome.

Sounds good to me since, despite feeling suicidal on regular occasions, I don't actually have any real problems, except a f*#ked up brain that doesn't work as it is "supposed to". So if I do kill myself I'll have another great life to live??? Maybe I should go buy a gun???

I just didn't need the answers that were provided by the church anymore.
Here's an honest question, What does it matter in your life how long it took for the universe to become?
IF the bible says a week, science says in less than one second, either way how does that affect you?
And, i ask anyone to show me where in the bible it says the earth is 6kyro.

hey there say, micronut and all...
just stopped by fast, to see what this thread is about, etc...
very interesting shares, by many, as to various thoughts...
and say, even folks opening up to clear up things, that internet typing affects... things that need the face-to-face etc, for better understanding as to what is being said, etc...
well, got more things to check, read, and think about--
also, wanted to say, to john:
nice even-keel shares, here, john E.
thanks for sharing...
will try and go back and see more of this all, too, but
wow, this is a 'stop, look, and post or go' season for
me, since my daddy died--lots going on to catch up on...
keep sharing and overlapping and trying to help
each other... taco: variety of good stuff, in a 'shell'...

Um...I talk to them directly in the same manner as here. It's all in good fun.
Unfortunately, the guy I used to discuss this stuff with most while running at lunch flew into a mountain in his Cessna several years back.
Literalists! What's a bruthah to do?

"Here's an honest question, What does it matter in your life how long it took for the universe to become?"
Truth and honesty - including intellectual honesty, matter.
It's a basic value thing.
Our values provide the foundation for everything we do in life.
I have to inform a Christian of this?

"The theological statement I most hear is "we interpret Scripture with Scripture," meaning that if one proposed meaning of a passage contradicts other portions of Scripture, and an alternative reading does not, we take the alternative."
Since such interpretations are really 'as you like it' - choose interpretations that avoid cruelty, promote human rights, (truly) respect other religions, and support fairness under the law and separation of church and state.
Given the Bible is a hodgepodge of anonymous authorship written long after the fact, the 'inerrant' quality of it is a human construct, of course. What's the historical origin of that proclamation? After all, there was no Bible was Christ supposedly lived.
I could snap a picture of my butt and label it as the Word of God - and stick it in a cave to be found later. What's the difference, really?

Flip Flop wants to make the world a better place...with the blood of non believers dripping from his teeth.
Flip Flop, you do a disservice. By blaming religion, you foolishly overlook human nature. You are exactly what you hate.

Is THAT honestly TRUTH?

Literalists! What's a bruthah to do?
Literally what does the bible say of Creation? Do you even know? Have you studied yourself? Or is your rant dictated from utube?
How about you read the first page and get back to me?
can i point you toward a goal? What is "A" "Day"?
God created the heavens and the earth on the first "Day"
Mind you, on this "Day" the earth was WITHOUT "form" and "void"
God called the "dry land" earth (i think we call it matter)
Without the Sun and earths rotation why would YOU PRESUME it meaning 24/7?
Jus look'in for Truth and Honesty here!

Hey man,
ur the the one that bombarded this thread of compassion with threats and misnomers. Trying to stuff us all into your perceived box. Which is generically common and fine. But you can't discredit any one's rebuttal and still be honest with yourself?
Ya know, i gotta sit here and hear my team, players like Bluey, Klimmer, etc. and listen to their Truths and wonder what God their praising. Because their God isn't MY God. Well He is, and though He NEVER changes, we all come to Him from different paths with different perspectives. And He meets each one of us EXACTLY where we are at in the moment. That's how Gracious He is! We are the one's that must bend, lest we break. His rod is stiff, but to achieve anything good what stakes aren't high? You should know this being a scientist?
Your voice is loud and full of reason, i don't doubt God is guiding ur path. The church needs a little rattle and hum.

Religions, Christianity and otherwise, have offered solutions to the problems of life that result in what some call "depression."
Micronut's offer is valid because it works for him and a number of other people here.
Religion, Science, Politics, Supertopo Forum, these groups are all good but can become polluted, twisted, corrupted and abused by a$$oles.
These are the type of people who would take kindness and turn it into poison.
Much like the poisons that pharma tries to sell people to handle depression. It may work for some, probably less than placebo or about the same. Side effects: suicide, murder, mass-murder

He (I have a sexist God) can not see what we do before we do it. He created unpredictable, dynamic beings with free-will.
