It actually is nice. The house is about 150 years old, and so has the slanted roof with smallish windows that take up the wall height. It is near the road, there are huge Hemlock and Ceder trees between the house and road. Across the road is a wetland,under stewardship of Mohonk Preserve.
A very pretty place with lots of other old farm houses - if I was going buy a house in the area, I would definitely choose this side of the ridge over the New Paltz/Gardiner side(unless I was mega-monied and could get land down near the Awosting Reserve area).

ARRRghh?! I obviously do not mail things very often. I had no idea that the post office was so lazy as to only by open until noon.
Now I am down to the wire. Monday the gift goes out, I promise.
It has been great to see all the gifts arriving and to see the christmas cheer exhibited by SuperTopo Santas.

Nice day today! Only a week till the days get longer. I got up early, but didn't see any meteors. But under the tree is the only gift so far...

So I'm on the slacker bus and my gift is going out tomorrow end of story (even if I have to send someone to the post office for me, it's going - it's been wrapped and ready and I've just been too busy working and skiing...), but I got mine yesterday. I was only able to hold out until today to open it, and I'm floored. Like literally sitting on the floor, floored. This is amazing.
Thanks Edge. I already know a few things I'm going to store in there.
