As They say
"Youre as old as the woman you feel"

or in our case we're as old as the partners we climb with

Himo after being told which route we were going to climb

and then the "young guns"
Ondra step aside HERE COMES MAT

then we have Mats granny

young guns that I find hard to keep up with
or do they find it hard to keep up with me

and then my bro

zBrown, I'm in Norway for climbing and work, but brought the "data" with me (yep, I'm really that geeky). I will try to update the histo and centiles this week.

He recently turned 80. My age in the morning is predicated by the amount of coffee I've had.

Four score years and 5 months ago my parents brought forth on this continent ... ME.

In attempt to raise Cowpoke's mean, I'm 80.

Thank goodness, Don. I was beginning to despair. Finally a little extra weight at the far end of the spectrum!

61 and if I would have known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself....

P.S.

It's better to be over the hill than under it.......

Just turned 43...not sure how that happened. Thought I wasn't supposed to make it past 27.

Here is a pic at Sandstone Quarry a few weeks ago. 70 pounds lighter than I was when I was 41 :)

Jeebus - bunch of old kats on this site - but at least we are still kicking it - so there.

Real question ought to be "How many times should you have died by now?"

For me - 4 confirmed and 7 probable.

Ricky D! Re your post:

Real question ought to be "How many times should you have died by now?"

For me - 4 confirmed and 7 probable.

Oh SCHIST!

That is a revealing question. I'm pretty sure I've used up at least 6 of my 7 "cat-lives."

I do, on occasion, have some ugly dreams at night about my "close-calls" while climbing.

Yeh, Yeh, I posted my age earlier on this thread.

Wizard B then stated, "Ah! Now I know your age!"

Wizard A = 72

Three children could be 2, 6, 6

or 3, 3, 8. Indeterminate.

I will turn an age equal to Wizard A's age plus the number on the bus, plus two (2)

Wow . . . sure about that?

You may be citing a more sophisticated problem than this. Mine is simply one example. If your problem is more general, I will leave it to RGold - he's younger than me with a more agile mind.
looks easy from here

Physically? 32. And somehow already the "old guy" in my circle.

Mentally? Wellll...Take a look at this pic and I'll let you guys be the judge.

And thanks cowpoke for pre-empting my statistics compilation obsession (and for doing a much better job at it than I would have, to boot).

Two things about age.

It's a very rough indicator of what exposure someone has had to life's things and events.

You can use it to good advantage in getting park passes, social security and medicare (if your exposure has left you desirous of such like).

Is Riccardo Cassin still alive? If he is, we need him to break the century mark. Last I heard, he was 98 or 99, still talking about climbing!

Edit: Nope. He passed in 2009 at the age of 100!

Old enough to appreciate climbing well; young enough to still manage it on occasion.
