I got my package in the mail and was stoked that it was still in the mail! Forgot to put a hold on the mail while I was out of town and the mail box was stuffed. Being good and waiting to open it :). But wait, I celebrate Hanukkah so I only have to wait until Tue night...Maybe I will bring it and head to the Bay Area Pity Party for the first time. And I am heading to the post office today no matter what to ship out my package. It has been sitting neatly on my desk at work waiting for a chance to get mailed, but I got a last minute consult with the surgeon yesterday so had to haul down to the hospital. Would rather have headed over to the post office. So TKingsbury...it will be on it's way today! I promise! You have not been Scrooged!

I'm going to mail my gift today. I guess I'm last minute. I haven't gotten one yet, but I'm opening it as soon as I do. :-)
I did get a nice card from the always thoughtful NeeBee yesterday though. I love getting Christmas cards. One of these years I hope I can be organized enough to spread the love too.

My Secret Santa gift was waiting for me at the post office today! I had been going in ever since a few days after names went out, wanting to make sure the package wouldn't get sent back if I hadn't picked it up in a set timeframe. It did not occur to me to ask how long they hold general Delivery for until....the moment I typed that last sentence.
THANK YOU Santa Seemstress!
In case one cannot see the details, these chocolates are: a crescent moon wrapped in silver foil, a bag of chocolate stars, each in gold foil and a sweet little box of ornamentally designed pieces, which the box says are: Milk Chocolate Gift, Bittersweet Christmas Tree, Eggnog Snowman and Candy Cane Truffle! The gift card is a very pretty piece itself!
And to have a multi-sensory post, I can tell you that - Oh...mmmm....ahhhhh .ooooh...yessss. VERY good chocolate indeed(that was one of the starts that did that too me.

Sort of on topic, my cousin Vaughn from England (he came from Saskatoon) recently reminded me of something I gave him in 1966, when he was one, and I wasn't much older. Apparently a favourite treasure of his. Here it is:
The writing is my father's, and I somehow suspect he did most of the work. Maybe I kept him company in the shop, and helped paint.

I wish Fogarty would open the box, the gifts are wrapped, and there's a card.
Also, it'd be cool if he posted a picture of the box, as it is quasi decorated.
Hint Hint.
