Medusa only exists in the twilight realm of his own secret thoughts now. Coz explained his behavior upthread. He was just 'having fun' at the expense of others.

It's heartening that most in the ST neighborhood post their disapproval at such outlandishly offensive posts. Crimpie is unfailingly circumspect and non-offensive. She's always felt affronted by negativty toward other community members. Who would be the next target of this abusive bellowing?...Neebee? Lynne?

Is this sexist behavior?
If medusa assailed a respected but male member of our community would the reaction have been the same?

Took the words out of my mouth, Ron. The answer, almost certainly, is "No." And I think that's a shame. I don't think Callie deserves special treatment just because she was born female. I think she deserves special treatment because she is (as far as I can tell) a decent human being.
I'm happy to have medusa gone not because he insulted a woman, but because he insulted everybody. Sure, he said some nasty things about women. But that was just part of an overall pattern of mean-spirited behavior toward all on ST.
Many posters here trade insults and say childishly mean things once in a while. Most of them, however, also say some nice things. Contribute enjoyable content from time to time. So we put up with the stuff we don't like because, on balance, the stuff we do like outweighs it. It's possible medusa made a positive contribution on some thread I missed, but of the dozens of his posts that I remember, all were nasty.
And if he wants to come back, I'm sure CM will listen to his request.

Bingo! Particularly this; I think she deserves special treatment because she is (as far as I can tell) a decent human being.

He's assailed males on several occasions. Tormenting non-combative, non contentious individuals provokes greater outrage in the community.
Here is your self patronizing pat on the back! Your so rad!!!
I don't f*#k up and tell..
Who reviles an injured climber in that manner?

And Locker, I didn't mean to hurt anyone's friend, I meant to teach him manners. Or, Failing that, I intended to strip him of his on line persona and break him.. Sorry if that got you butt hurt.
Phunny thing is I would do the same for you if you were being wrongly and unfairly attacked.

I remember a thread titled "describe yourself with one word". Medusa wrote: "sadistic". That stuck in my mind as very odd.
He is a very sick man who delights himself by the infliction of mental pain on others.
Medusa receives some perverse pleasure with this behavior. Anyone could have been his target.
Perhaps after ST, he will join S & M.

Mimi and Piton Ron-
I really don't think that this was a lynching: he was judged by a jury of his peers, and "found wanting!" Then we hung 'em!....

Should we post a reward for the first person to make him under his new avatar?
A sushifest pass?
One of brassnuts' guidebooks?
A crack clinic with donini?
A landscape photography lesson from Jody?
(you just know he's lurking)
One of locker's blue ones?
Anybody?

Medusa can shoot his mouth off with the best of them. He picked up his toys and left.
If medusa assailed a respected but male member of our community would the reaction have been the same?
Maybe, since many of the comments pointed out aren't strictly about crimpergirl. It is interesting the woman he "assailed" is one who has posted many semi-nude photos of herself. Now personally, I like the photos, but I do think such things bring out a "bad element".
What does the Taco think:
Does posting such pictures bring the bad element down on you?
Should it?
Why or why not?
Before you come after me on this one, it is a valid question. Also, I know Medusa and unlike most of the rest of you, given the opportunity I'll tell him what I think to his assha... er face.

Murf - about 7 years ago, I posted one photo of a portion of my body with my hands covering my breasts. In the context of the thread it was really really funny. This is actually a really special thread to me because it was where Ouch! showed up and we all had a great deal of fun in it. Out of context, it looks different - I grant that. Would I do it today given how it's been perceived? No.
Other than that, I have never posted a photo of myself that is at all risque. You may be thinking about one where it appears that I'm sun bathing nude - that was a photoshopped photo of me. I was out with Donini, Malcolm Daly, Paul Fish and his wife at the hotsprings in a bathing suit. Not even a skimpy bathing suit. Just some ordinary one. Malcolm took and posted the photo. Big deal. There were also photos of Donini posted in his swimming trunks. And some of Paul Fish. Someone else photoshopped my photo and I do look nude as a result. But I wasn't. And I never posted any of those photos.
Any other photos come to mind since you mention I've posted several? And even if I had, does doing so invite hostility? I am curious of your thoughts.

I don't know Crimps, some of those foot surgery pics were pretty risque'.
They made me go BLARGH, but they may make some foot fetishists go hmmmmmmm.

Besides the one you mention, the bathing suit breast shot from face level seemed suggestive to me. I don't specifically recall others at this time, but I seem to feel like I've seen others.
My opinion is that it does put you at greater risk for "abuse" for lack of a better word. Let me be clear, I don't think you deserve any more or less abuse than any other person on the Taco. It's your body, show it or don't as you see fit. But I think those photos help create a mental picture for people who don't know you.
What do you think about it? My dim recollection is that you're something of an expert on these matters?

That's sounds like blaming the rape victim for wearing sexy clothing.
Even if Crimpie (or anyone) choose to post nude shots that wouldn't justify inappropriate behavior.
Mental pictures are fine, repugnant behavior is not. Callie is not a prude are you?

the truth is there is a ton of creepy angry sex hate posts on ST by Pate, Medussa and others.. seems to be part of the warp and woof (pun intended) I think it makes for a better community to call out the really low behavior and posts.. it's all kindergarten, folks. same consequences apply.
Crimpie.. sorry that guy stormed you.. but he reveals only himself. It's a compliment to ST that you post here, naked or otherwise.

Murf, You're on a slippery slope. Your "suggestive" comment is on the same slope as those that say a woman brought on a rape because she was dressed provocatively. BS!
edit. Good point Dingus. I'm not suggesting Murf condones this sh#t. I was more making a statement about "society" in general not being able to handle "sexy".
