Does anyone remember Fear, The Record?
They were awesome. Now there is a car commercial with the Sex Pistols singing "My Way." That song was on the "who Killed Bambi" record.
There was a good local music scene in OKC. Chainsaw Kittens, the best band was The Flaming Lips, who are now sorta mainstream weird. They are still a unique band with punk roots.
The Lips have an annual New Years concert, and people come from all over to see it.
A few years ago they covered Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon and it was awesome live.

I was in a band in the early 80's in Denver called ExEcutrix (see pic below).
We were part of the Denver punk scene playing at Walibi's and The Mercury Cafe with groups like The Aviators, The Trees, The Kamikaze Klones. Anybody else have memories of those years in Denver?

Sh#t, someone mentioned No Means No? I think I can count the # of people on 1 hand that I've met in the last 20 yrs that were fans.
I still have "Why Do They Call Me Mr. Happy" on cassette!

A bunch of us drove from Bozeman, MT to Fort Collins CO to see NoMeansNo way back when. Three of us rotated turns in the trunk as we didn't have enough seats. Good times. They were so stoked that we drove 600 miles in a trunk, they made sure to come through Bozeman on their next tour. Nice dudes, good tunes.
I had until recently a NMN shirt that was a favorite of mine. It was a play on Henry Rollin's backpiece. Instead of "Search & Destroy" it had, "Stay Home & Read a Book".

Old school punk fans.
If your in the LA area, Dr.Strange Records is a great, punk-only CD/DVD/Records/merchandise store, with great staff.
Best, clean punk store you will ever go into! (odd location)

Also in the LA area you will find Burger Records and Gnar-Burger shops. Seems like LA really has it going on.
