HOPEY CHANGEY!
CHANGE: Democrats’ Defection From Pelosi Is Historic. “With 19 Democrats withholding support from Nancy Pelosi for House speaker on Wednesday, it represented the largest defection from a party’s speaker nominee in nearly a century. The resistance in the Democratic Party to back now-former Speaker Pelosi (D-Calif.) in the ceremonial first vote of the 112th Congress registered higher than at any point since 1913, according to data from the Congressional Research Service.”

FROM POWERLINE THIS MORNING:
The global warming hoax is the biggest scientific fraud of our time. It has proceeded differently from the autism/vaccination hoax, and on a much larger scale. Here, it is not plaintiffs' lawyers but rather governments that have shelled out cash, amounting to billions of dollars, to scientists who would produce pseudo-data that those governments could rely on to expand their powers over private enterprises. The stakes are much higher, but the principle is the same: all too often, scientific "data" is for sale.

But isn't it curious that when it comes to sacrifice, Republicans don't include the richest people in America? To the contrary, they insist the rich should sacrifice even less, enjoying even larger tax cuts that expand public-sector deficits. That means fewer public services, and even more pressure on the wages and benefits of public employees.
It's only average workers -- both in the public and the private sectors -- who are being called upon to sacrifice.
This is what the current Republican attack on public-sector workers is really all about. Their version of class warfare is to pit private-sector workers against public servants. They'd rather set average working people against one another -- comparing one group's modest incomes and benefits with another group's modest incomes and benefits -- than have Americans see that the top 1 percent is now raking in a bigger share of national income than at any time since 1928, and paying at a lower tax rate. And Republicans would rather you didn't know they want to cut taxes on the rich even more.

Repealing health care reform will add $230 billion to the deficit over the next decade, leave 32 million fewer people with insurance and lead to higher costs for those who are covered, the Congressional Budget Office said in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) Thursday.
Oh yeah, watch those repulifux cut our budget!

Isn't ISSA the moron who thinks Fresno county owns Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks?
No, but he knows we "own" a lot of the best mountaineering in California. Mt. Clarence King, Obelisk, Charlotte Dome, Tehipite Valley, Gorge of Despair, Cedar Grove, Mt. Mendel, the Devil's Crags, Feather Peak, Seven Gables, Merriam Peak, etc. etc. are entirely in Fresno County, as are the western halves of the Sierra Crest from the Mammoth Creast to south of Kearsarge Pass, including Mt. Humphries, Mt. Abbott, Mt. Dade, Bear Creek Spire, North Palisade, Mt. Sill, Clyde Peak, Middle Pal, etc. etc.

I heard Issa was asking business what regulations they needed to do away with in order to allow them to bring jobs to the US....
like asking the fox the best way to guard the henhouse....
Be prepared for fewer regulations on food, drug, air, water, your wages (if that's one of you), and just about anything else that goes with business...
Basically, business can sell you anything you want without actualy selling it to you.. but you will pay.
Beware when they come around your place giving out checks so that they can poison your water supply.... or allow the company to belch out all the toxic matter into the air...
GOOD job repuklickunts... you taken the america we all love and turned it into a sesspool

On TGT's interesting post about the new Blaze editor:
Under her leadership, the [HuffPo] site grew from 4 million to 22 million unique visitors and doubled its ad revenue. Morgan expanded the number of content verticals to ten, incorporated over 3,000 new blogging contributors, and raised $25 million in new funding.
That's interesting, I was wondering how/why HuggPo went all mainstream, keeping Ms. Palin in the press each day, putting more smutt on the front page each day, etc, etc. So it was this gal, eh. Pretty media savy, I say...
