Glad to hear you, brother. I was reminded VAGUELY about you this aft.
Found this book titled The Silent Traveller in San Francisco (Norton 1964) by an author/illustrator from CHINA, Chiang Yee.
Mr. Yee used the gnome de plume (as we used to say in the down biz) The Silent Traveller. He was responsible for The Silent Traveller series (Norton) of books, in which he tripped around in the Lake District, Boston, London, Paris, Athens, and other centers of civilization.
He has the travel scene wired and is an amazing observer. His talent as an artist is hereby demonstrated, using the free-form Chinese tradition of making a scene look invitingly gentle instead of as it may really appear.
(BY THE WAY, do you remember TNF's pandering to China's down trade and supporting Nixon's efforts there by opening the New China Trading Co. on Shattuck in the City of the Hedonists, aka Berkeley? They sold stupid Chinese junk to stupid Americans in the mid-70s. We ended up with a lot of their stupid inventory in the Factory Outlet.)

It was with great regret that I failed to get a good, solid shot of Anita514 over the weekend at Facelift. She is a beautiful person.
And here she is offering me beers. What a beautiful person.
Well, it's not for nothing, really. She contacted me and wanted to know the other day if there were any shots of her by me and I told her frankly that, no, her lard-ass was much too prominent and I wouldn't risk her good will by putting such on the web.
Really not true...they were blurry and some ugly climber was downing beer while listening to her spray on her latest successful run up the Big Stone.

Selfie Girl has plenty of photos of herselfie anyway.
Actually, she's offering me the beers for retrieving the pix I had from the Recycle Bin and sending them to her. I charge for taking stuff out of the Bin. It's a $2.50 minimum, BTW.
MooseDrool is next. I got some great ones of him not looking his best!
I'm kidding, Andrzej. I've already dumped the Recycle Bin for the week.
I have two more photos to publish and that's all from Facelift for this year. Both feature Joey F., with whom I'd have liked to talk more--we said hello howyadoin and that was about all).

Our rain was short-lived--pissy, in other words.
But when the sun brightened and the weak storm pushed on into the mountains, the clouds gathered to cross them.
For a while there was some excellent light out on the fire escape.

I’m also G-Greek and can spot a fake gift a mile away.
So g-g-go to hell.”
As the foiled Prince of Lies turned away cursing,
he suddenly stopped, whirled,
And, pointing his long evil finger at Young Nick, m-muttered,
(now he’s got me doing it!)
“This is only the fourth century. There’s no tobacco in the fourth century.

That's what I'm talkin' about, that shot of AnitaLoose and Doc Peterfree lockin' lips. If I'd gotten the best shot possible for me of AnitaFace some other photographer would likely have shot a better one.
It's really good to see the folks but more fun to take pictures and I don't care about "what that says about me."
I totally get Ringo.
Gnome, let me suggest you do our friends the courtesy of giving them photo credit. Those look like TTR shots.

I forget exactly what we were talking about, but I must have just pointed out the obvious or told a whopper.
Here ya go. People have been known to bitch about my logic skills. ("Non-existent.")
If I were gonna re-post a photo as my favorite of ones I'd posted earlier FOR REALS,
instead of re-posting the one I posted as my favorite of ones I'd previously posted,
which, at that time, was the LAST one I'd posted,
then this is the one I'd have used.
Except that I'd already re-posted it, so it would have not been kosher.
So I made it into an annoying internet meme.
I don't know or care, ultimately, if that is "logic" or reasoning, but it's what I think.
