go to a bar, shoot some pool, have a beer.
you'll have the same problem.
it has nothing to do with climbing
and everything to do with you. And
I am in no way implying that there
is anything wrong with you.
Men are men, whether they are climbing,
golfing, shooting hoops, poker, you
name it. If you wanna do things men
like to do, they will love it. And they
will hit on you. Learn to embrace it.
You have power.

Anastasia,
No matter how you look, with a name like that unfortunately you get automatic +1000 sexy points ...
Anyway, I wanted to suggest that the supply-demand dynamics in ex-post facto Greek societo-funcional dynamics would entail that..
Sorry what the hell do I know, all I know is that, with a name like that, the romantic world is really your Oyster to be deciphered in the manner which suits you,.. Best of luck to you..

When a babe goes climbing with a guy its a 'date' no matter what
words are said. Most common activity during dates? Yup...sex!
Waiting till the 2nd pitch proves a girl isn't easy..

Thanks locker.
I have never understood this female climbing complex. I've climbed with male partners for years and have always had respectful experiences. You make it known what the goal of the climb is beforehand, it makes it regardless whether you are male or female. You're just two people banding together to send the stone. The goal of the climb what matters.

Yep! It's all about the CLIMB! Whether it's a male or female partner, it doesn't matter. If you want to get up a route, you do it. Just friggin show up, mean business and SEND!

Haha, thanks locker. No thanks needed.
It's all about climbing and mutual goals. If that's clear, there's no issue. Period.

I have a funny "period mid climb" story... my partner had a good suggestion - turns out you can cut a few inches off the rope and keep climbing! It's the clean end....

That's only a problem if you're on a wall Tami hahah!! THAT is when the "joy" of being female comes into play. And makes things way harder than guys have it.
But wall climbing is a totally different beast if you're female. And we still make it work. In this sense, guys don't know what we go through (for guys pissing while on a wall route is so damn easy! Not so for us).
PS - I love your stuff Tami. And I love Squamish. Cheers!

Well mi' be feeling that life is too short for people on this Forum to have any forms of MIScommunication.....causing frictional relationship probs. Can agree to disagree and go from there, right ?
I kinda know some of yo posters and each one of you are pretty incredible people....gifted and skilled with special personalities. But, yo all like de snowflakes....each one different. So, maybe you don't understand each others jazz.
You're climbers and humans on this planet. Think it be great to find the common ground along with each being unique. Dan taught me to appreciate each human and who they were and what they have to contribute on this orb. Love you all and thanks for reachin' out to me. Yo Gals and Guys Special.....let the Peace begin. :)

Lynne, all I mean is that for potential partners, show up, mean business, it helps take away the chance of confusion.
Then again I haven't read 200+ posts, just the initial one and I just had a little bit of a wtf? reaction.

I hear yo gal and agree. Jess throwin' out there that because we all have different makeups, personalities, same situations may be handled differently and/or interpreted differently by each of us.
What might be be complex for some is easy for others and visa versa cause we are all different.
Jess sayin'....:DD lrl

Sorry Lynne, I have to disagree. It's all in how you present yourself and what the goal of the climb is. If you show up to mean business, you likely won't have this problem.

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that today after hearing about
Woody.
I don't mean to be off topic here, but the laugh was good.
(not at the topic, just at Locker's not being too flexible). . .
