Have you ever been up Mount Tam?
Well, I have.
I just can't sing it like Jimi; but it's a lot warmer than that gully.
Looks like a Pleasant Experience, Plaidman.
You can keep it, brrrr-other!
I'm with el Jefe...nicely ex-posed!

OK, so it isn't Thursday but I'll forget by next Thursday.
Anybody want some free bindings? I thought retro was the rage?
Sweet, huh?
Anybody need a gear sling? Like maybe a museum?
I'm gonna hang onto the gear sling for a while but the Markers are goin' to
the big orthopedic ward in the sky.

Who can guess what peak I'm climbing? (Clue: look in the upper left-hand corner)
Starting out on a 10-day ski traverse of the Sierra Nevada in Dec 1983-Jan 1984 (Mono Lake > Bloody Canyon > Mono Pass > Tuolomne Meadows > Sunrise > Little Yosemite > Yosemite). This is Gerry and Fred at our first camp above Mono lake, heading towards Tuolomne Meadows.

Santa Cruz, or In What Time Zone Am I?
|

A freshly minted PhD in History from the University of Pennsylvania comes west to teach at the upstart UC Santa Cruz. She comes with her beloved Irish Setter that she had from the time she was 15. She soon discovers (reverse) ageism, sexism (what??? at the uber hip and liberal UCSC??? oh how it flew under the radar.) Best of all discovers Yosemite and the Sierras! Life was good, still is.
