Shortest shoulder season ever? Try no shoulder....what happened? Instead of "Early Winters" call it "Nofall"

Why fight it. Thanksgiving reservations for Silverstar!!

Silverton scored some goods last week.

Time to sharpen the edges? Silverton Mountain reported as much as 2 to 3 feet of fresh snow from the weekend storm. Silverton Mountain ski patroller Marc Kloster takes a run Monday after several patrollers jumped on the chairlift and made their first turns of the 2013-14 season. The area is scheduled to open Dec. 21, but that date could be moved up if conditions allow, area spokeswoman Jen Brill said in an email.

Just watched the local news and they said two to three feet with up to 70 mph winds in the next two days.

They said 3-6 inches of water. That is a lot for around here.

We've been busy pulling people off the Pacific Crest Trail - several feet of snow here in southern WA. Lots of snow over 4,000'. It's a month earlier than normal.

About 6 inches of heavy wet snow so far and it is just getting started. School has been called off. There is thunder snow and branches are breaking off trees all over the neighborhood.

About 11 inches since 3am. There will be massive tree loss since all of the trees still have their leaves. Still another day of snow predicted and 70 mph winds, but it is calm and dumping right now. No power, no school, no work.
