apogee,

have you reached your zenith and are crashing down?

i am not involved in either party. i voted for BO last election. i am very disapointed and believe that Romney has far greater life experiences that could result in a better future than watching BO play and learn.

Which version of Rmoney are you referring to, Hawkeye?

I suppose it's convenient to have a candidate like Rmoney, though...he'll be anything you want him to be....

It seems attacks are their norm here, dunno why exaclty, other than being way to left to see the center.
Ron, look at some of your previous posts on this thread and others, you are as guilty of personal attacks as some Taco Standers.

It is disingenuous of you to say or claim otherwise.

Werner has a point and I even made the same point earlier in the thread, about it becoming a useless thread due to personal attacks.
This thread is becoming quite useless (what with personal insults and such), no offence to the contributors,

Ron, you have your convictions, fair enough, as other posters do. And yes, some posters on this thread have become "personal" against you, but you are not entirely innocent yourself.

When everyone works for the government the tax rate will have to be about 150% just to cover the graft, waste, and ineptitude ...

Guyman, uh, yeah, misspell, but I also f*ck up all the time as well. Am I am a seasoned sub-editor/copy editor. Don't ask me what season (Fall?) or tarragon. And I am not sure I have my thyme right.

Obama, we'll see. However, IMO Mittens is a disaster waiting to happen. My prediction, as I gaze into my crystal ball, is that, if elected, Romney will drive America even further into the ground. I hope not, but the signs are there.

And as I watched the debate (debacle?) I could see that Romney really wanted to say was: "You goddamn half-caste nigger, who wasn't born in the United States, you are no better than a Mexican. The white people will vote for me." However, he has other stooges to say that for him.

I mean, the Mormon Church did not allow "people of color" in until when?

Amen. I've seen no shortage of hunters when I'm out and about. They look particularly well fed too.

After hearing portions of the debate, I'm particularly disturbed by some polls that gave another win to Romney. If true, I am becoming more and more convinced (I was pushed pretty far down that path by half of the country electing W twice) that many of the voters out there simply aren't capable of making intelligent decisions when confronted with information or, as if often the case, misinformation. We've become a country of dunces.

Just the simple concept of Obama climbing out a hole it took the Republicans eight years to dig is lost on the right and many independents. Too many potential voters that I've heard interviewed have this approach: 'Gee, Obama couldn't resurrect a train wreck in just three years. I think it's time to give the guys who dug the hole a chance'.

Really? Sheer lunacy. Sure I'm worried about 2013, but more because of the prospect of Romney presidency. Off the edge and into the abyss.

Business startups have been on the decline since the 1980's some say (Time Magazine 6-20-2011). There's a nice graph showing this.

Fodder for Obama or Romney cannons?

It's an interesting exercise to track back to some of the sources.

Then follow the line forward.

Patric, I dont think he said that, you might think he thinks that....

and please dont use some religious BS as fact about anything.

Its pretty clear, our Prez has failed.....

Shoot, he promised to "stop raiding Medical Dispensaries" in States that have them.... like California.

But that has not stopped, hense he is getting a "No" vote from me.

Ron! Drop that squirrel cock. Here's your answer. Courtesy of Wikipedia.

The United States Senate career of Barack Obama began on January 4, 2005 and ended on November 16, 2008.[1] He resigned his seat in the Illinois Senate to serve and would resign upon being elected President of the United States. Obama won the seat in an election against Alan Keyes who replaced Republican Primary election winner Jack Ryan. Prior to his election but after Ryan withdrew from the race, he rose to national prominence by delivering the 2004 Democratic National Convention keynote address. Upon his election, he became the fifth African American Senator in U.S. history, the third to have been popularly elected.

As a Senator, he served on a variety of committees and chaired the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on European Affairs. His bill sponsorship and voting records indicates that he was a loyalist to the Democratic Party. He was considered to be among the most liberal by various analyses. In his first session (109th Congress), he was involved in immigration reform. Legislation bearing his name was passed for armament reduction and federal transparency as well as relief aid. In the first year of the 110th Congress, he worked on lobbying and campaign finance reform, election reform, climate control and troop reduction. In the second year, he legislated for oversight of certain military discharges, Iran divestment and nuclear terrorism reduction, but President George W. Bush vetoed his legislation for State Children's Health Insurance Program-related military family job protections.

It's an uphill battle if you are the third black popularly elected senator. (Even though Ryan dropped out of the Senate race, he was popularly elected.)

And the uphill's lots steeper as the first black president.

Obama is a fiery man under that cool and don't mistake it. He's not weak; and he will "f*#king stay the course."

Ron, if we gotta disagree on anything, this is a good thing to disagree over.

FD,, romney did indeed close corporate loopholes to give MASS a balanced budget-
The concern raised by many is that Romney is essentially a whore who will do anything to get into office. What he actually does there may be a different story. But if we rely on what he says (or hasn't said, really), I don't think we can count on a Gov. of Mass-type Romney.

You know that poor dog in a cage on the roof of his car eating flies while Mitt chugs along in air conditioned comfort? That's gonna be us folks.

Amen, brother! How can those dudes live with themselves sometimes?

Romney's answer: I'm in it for the money---mine and the great people who are supporting the Republican PACs.

Edit:
Yes, there is. One is white elitist. The other is not. Patently.

One disregards women. The other is a mensch.
