LEB:
I think Norton is referring to the fact that he was called out for not providing evidence for a claim he made. Then he apologized for it. Which I am impressed with. I am assuming that he wishes proof of your claim or an apology. I'm rooting for ya. I don't wanna see you prove them all right. If there is no proof though, who cares? Apologize and grow as a person.

Dr. F.:
Are you saying Repubs are Pro-Choice? Oops sorry you edited.
But seriously, you spin negative on every Republican view. I don't think any of your arguments against Republicanism are worth listening to.
If you want people to listen to you then you need to tone it down. The same sh#t that FOX appears to do. Scare people into siding with you.

Lois knows very well what she has been asked to respond to.
It is telling to me that she is pretending, in my opinion, to not know.
Plenty of time has gone by now.
The sincerity and wording of her response could say something about her character.
We wait patiently, as we know how very important a nurses work is.
And aa-lex, I appreciate your efforts to I instill correctness and character into this thread.

Re: escalating taxes:
What amazes me is that no one sees this as the obvious sequelae to our continuing presence in the Middle East. This insane multi-trillion dollar war & nation building effort needs to be paid for. The thanks for that lies squarely on the Bush camp.
Makes me wonder just how nice life would've been right now if we'd never gone there...
edit:
The Tanning Tax.... imposes a new, 10% excise tax on getting a tan at a tanning salon. There is no exemption for tanners making less than $250,000 per year.
Ha! I thought that was a joke! Really? This is a major concern? Perhaps the benefits of reducing skin cancer sets the balance right. Kind of like taxing tobacco.

No need to be a d*ck about it. Nurses work is important.
EDIT:
Sorry to just call you a d*ck as you just acknowledged me. But seriously you could be nicer to LEB.

Agreed, but Aa-lex, while you are chastising and trying to get people to play nice, would you include TGT and Lois in that? The post on the first page with the crying baby was insulting.

Not being a dick at at all.
In fact, I think you posted PRIOR to reading this post of mine.
I will repost it so you can see my own comment about nurses, and also as a reminder on this page for Lois.

Sorry. Hard to catch tone with text. The nurse sentence sounded antagonizing. I apologize.
See now the rights and lefts have apologized and grown.
EDIT:
Moosie:
Yes I agree with that. Its just so frickin one-sided here on the taco. I prefer to lean towards the underdog and balance the scene.

NO NO NO, Lois.
Aa-lex, and I did NOT ask you for THAT apology, which was deserved anyway.
Over and over, we are expecting you to, again, either prove your clear statement of fact that Obama was asked NOT to campaign for Dems, OR apologize for being WRONG.
Again, how much clearer can this be, prove your statement or apologize, just like you did when you were WRONG about your tax cuts claims.

I always enjoy watching a bunch of men get their asses intellectually kicked every night by a girl...
Better than any pay per view that television has to offer.
(No offense meant to you Lois. Keep on rocking!!! Your points are solid.)
Isn't this kind of sexist of you? You are saying that Lois is "only" a girl and thus shouldn't be able to kick the asses intellectually of some men, since she is only a "girl".
Wow dude, get in the 21st century. We already figured out the women can be as intelligent and even smarter then men, so its no big deal if they shine at times.
Not that I think Lois is kicking anyones rear.

Gentlemen and Ladies. We have reached the Loising point. This thread is about how divisive Fox news is because of its bias and its use of lies, not about Obama's policies. There are multiple links to proof that Fox news is divisive, biased and uses lies to suit its purposes, and so far those who disagree have done nothing to dispute this, so I say we conclude that Fox news isn't really news and not watch it.

Show me even one instance where a conservative man was verbally abusive with a liberal woman on this forum - even one example.
Blue has been insulting to multiple women. There is one. He has since apologized, but isn't it sexist on your part to think that women need more protecting then men do?
And how about TGT's crying baby picture? The one YOU agreed with. Isn't that insulting?

Hardly proof of your statement.
The article mentions TWO Democrats, out of some 500 up for election.
The article further says, "By embracing the president and his policies, the argument goes, the Democratic base will be fired up. And, in midterm elections, base intensity isn't everything -- it's the only thing."
And Lois, if you really think Obama is a negative, then surely one of your Republicans will beat him badly in 2012.
How strong do you fell about this?
How about you and I both put up some money to go to charity?

It absolutely blows my mind how vulgar and crass some of these guys can be and they they expect you are going to affiliate with them and their party. Fraid not.
This is mind boggling. So you are sexist. It is okay for Skip to say that Jhedge and anyone who agrees with Obama is will to take it up the a*# and that we like it. To call people stupid, ect. and this doesn't bother you.
Mercy.. That is the definition of sexist.

Moosie:
While I have agreed on some points of FOX news being biased, I still feel like I'll watch it (even though that isn't usually very often) and make decisions based on what I see. I encourage people to watch FOX and take note of things that are lies. But, yes, this did dissolve away from the topic.
Norton:
I agree that it is a pretty loose argument.
Dr. F.:
You're still a raving lunatic. Calm down and speak rationally and we'll listen.

Though many of the most sweeping benefits of the law do not go into effect for years, millions of consumers stand to gain substantial new protections starting this fall. (The benefits apply to plan years starting Thursday, although many Americans may not see the changes until January when their health plans renew.)
Insurance companies, for example, will be prohibited from canceling policies when customers get sick or from denying coverage to sick children. Some insurers have said they will stop selling policies exclusively for children rather than comply.
The law will allow parents to keep their adult children up to age 26 on their family plans, and will bar insurers from placing lifetime caps on how much they will pay when their customers get ill.
And many consumers will get new rights to appeal claims that are denied by insurers and win new access to preventive care without being asked for co-pays.
"There are many meaningful reforms here that, while not perfect, will help millions of consumers get a fairer shake when they buy and use health insurance," said Jim Guest, president and chief executive of Consumers Union, the nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports.
Many more changes, including guarantees that all Americans can get coverage and millions of dollars of subsidies to help them pay their premiums, will go into effect in 2014.
Other changes have already started, such as tax breaks for small businesses and the gradual phase-out of the coverage gap in the Medicare Part D drug benefit.
But public misunderstanding about the new law remains high, fueled in part by Republican attacks.

You are free to be as sexist as you want Lois. Most men I know still treat women well, but we also accept that they are equals and when you insult folks, then you shouldn't be surprised when they insult you back. Both Jaybro and I have tried to show you how you insult people, such as speaking down to them, but you refuse to see. You insulted the OP and those who agree with him by agreeing with TGT's picture of the crying baby. So you are not blameless. You can get off of the high horse pretending that you are more civilized. You may not use vulgar language, but that isn't all that there is to being civil.
