Please, its vis-à-vis, not "vis a vue". Meaning "compared to" or "when compared with".

Bob, I don't read SUAP's posts, so I have to take your word for what they say.
I also don't click on undescribed video links.

I would just like to say PROPS to Gov Brown for not throwing some expensive silly party and just getting to work..May "the FORCE" be with him..
I have a feeling that we are in for a rocky ride. I believe that he is going to do what needs to be done, and not pander to anyone. I still don't understand the GOP crazies (and the ones we have are CRAZY), who would prefer to have the state crash and burn, just for the satisfaction of seeing a democrat fail. One of my business partners was a moderate Republican assemblyman physician, Keith Richman (probably and old friend of Fatty) from Northridge. When he ran for State Treasurer in 2006, he lost in the primary to a nobody, because he was not thought to be wacko right enough. He was a very early proponent of warning about unfunded pension liability and the effects that it would have on cities/counties/and the state. I respected him, and talked with him a lot.

Ken,
I have spoken with Keith several times, he's one of my fellow Jewish Republicans, a very good man. His campaign problem was a lack of organization.
I really have to disagree with your interpretation of what happened. A perfect example of the title of this thread.
From:

"Moderate Republicans in California, having watched their party become increasingly dominated by conservatives as it sunk deeper into minority status, had big hopes after Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected governor in 2003.
With Schwarzenegger the only Republican holding statewide office, they hoped he would assert his role as the de facto party leader to help reshape a party whose candidates had lost 17 of the previous 19 statewide elections.
This spring, the governor chose to sit on the sidelines — even when two legislative soulmates, Sen. Abel Maldonado and Assemblyman Keith Richman, were running for statewide office in contested GOP primaries.
Richman had been a Schwarzenegger confidant even before the movie star decided to jump into politics. It was Richman who organized a last-ditch, bipartisan effort to salvage the bond that Schwarzenegger desperately needed in 2004 to get the state out of fiscal crisis without having to raise taxes or gut education spending.
This year, when the governor bucked Republican orthodoxy and called for raising the state minimum wage, Maldonado stepped forward to carry the legislation. Whenever the governor campaigned for his ballot-box causes, Maldonado stood alongside Schwarzenegger to help appeal to Latino voters.
Both Richman and Maldonado were certain that an endorsement from Schwarzenegger would boost their chances for victory.
Instead, Schwarzenegger did nothing. Moderates Richman and Maldonado each lost to conservative opponents.
Even if Schwarzenegger is re-elected, Richman said, the Republican Party will be no better off than it was before the Terminator came onto the political scene.
"There are a lot of people who've worked hard to make this party a bigger tent," he said. "The governor was in a position to advance that effort, but he just hasn't done it."

The LEB says she did some mountain hiking in earlier days, even in Yosemite, and still hikes a bit. That should get her a token one point.
