Obviously since we humans are the top predators its not a big
surprise that we've morphed into web hunters seeking a
happy hunting ground, where counting coup on those lesser than
ourselves brings admiration and envy.
The unskilled cyber bully being mostly ignored and a subject of scorn while the clever presenter of factual arguments is champion, such as LEB.

This way of presenting statistics usually means that the actual numbers are embarrassing.
It could be that she got 4 Doctors (an increase of "nearly" five fold) to do some kind of outreach and 3 volunteers ("nearly fourfold...")
If the actual numbers were impressive you can bet they would get mentioned.

For you to think that one of the great medical centers of this country has 4 doctors and 3 volunteers is hilarious. The hospital I work at in LA, which is much smaller has about a THOUSAND doctors and HUNDREDS of volunteers. NO. There are a number of outspoken conservative women that I think well of...Kathleen Parker, for example. I disagree with most of what she writes, but it is well reasoned, logical, intelligent.
As long as you refuse to answer questions or provide citations for your opinions, while you demand the same from others, you will be held in contempt.
You think you are "scoring points" by "driving the liberals crazy", as if bragging about mentally torturing those you feel inferior somehow makes you better than the Michael Vick that you so strongly condemn. In fact, you're in the same camp.

Ken - what if all she did was sign hastily added cover pages tacked onto
proposals, all designed to give her the appearance of being a suit?
Could be the hospital wanted the right 'someone' to sign the transfer requests to get those without insurance out and open rooms for those with insurance.
Community outreach? What if her volunteers were merely drivers on call who'd
show up and shuttle poor uninsured patients out the back to other hospitals 24/7.

Ok, let's talk about Vick. Vick is a very public figure right now, in the papers a lot, getting a lot of press. What is the significance of this?
LEB says:

Which is, of course, NOT TRUE. (wow, you really have a tendency to do that sort of thing.)
1. He didn't come out. He made a private phone call
2. He didn't defend him.
LEB further says:
It is NOT apples and oranges. ALL of the parties are convicted felons - they are all apples and, in fact, they are all guilty of quite similar crimes. In one case the felon(s) tortured helpless prisoners, in the other case the felon tortured helpless animals. Same thing - apples and apples.
There is a HUGE difference.
--Vick pled guilty. The soldiers contested the charges and pled not guilty and were convicted.
--Vick served his time without complaint. The soldiers have engaged in a non-stop whine-fest.
--Since leaving prison, Vick has gone on a very significant speaking tour, talking about the evil of what he did, and how wrong it is. Animal advocates have been very impressed by the things that he has done to try to "make things right. He has written about all this.
President Obama understands, as apparently you do not, that sports figures are very visible figures in our society, and that they inspire our youth. As such, he took the opportunity to make a statement about WHY Vick has prospered....why HE has done well, when other felons have not.
What would you prefer?
That all offenders lawyer up and don't admit their crimes?
That those offenders that have paid their debt to society and have a way to make a living should not be allowed to do so, and have to do what? Go into crime, as so many felons do as a way of life?
That offenders that come out of prison who renounce their previous offences, you'd prefer to still embrace those offences?
What outcomes do you want? You want nothing but tragic outcomes, with all felons going on to lifelong crime sprees resulting in lifelong prison? Apparently.
Plus your continuing BS posturing about "how the President spends his time" is getting tiring. President George W. Bush condemned the widespread use of steroids in baseball, and that didn't seem to offend you at all, nor did his attendance at ball games.

for 1 and 3, it's like asking, what if she was in charge of admitting space aliens?
There are all these people who worked with her who seem to think highly of what she did, but no one, repeat, NO ONE, who supports the charges that you are making. If there are, where are they? If not, this is just baseless slandering.
For 2, ALL transfer requests legally must be signed by a medical provider, not an administrator. You just made that one up, too.
It must be terribly frustrating to be trying to smear someone who is actually clean and good, and to which the mud doesn't stick.
Your side really stuck it to McCain in 2000, and probably caused us to get into Iraq, which I don't think would have happened under McCain. Thanks.

Um, Ken, you did not answer my point at all. And if you edited books on statistics you surely understand my point. Also then you must see that I said nothing about the number of doctors or volunteers at the hospital, just the number who's behavior Michelle Obama may have changed.

"The President did place a call to Mr. Lurie to discuss plans for the use of alternative energy at Lincoln Financial Field, during which they spoke about that and other issues. He of course condemns the crimes that Michael Vick was convicted of but, as he's said previously, he does think that individuals who have paid for their crimes should have an opportunity to contribute to society again."
