I don't understand how it can considered that Trump's violation of a contract, to benefit himself and to the detriment of the other party, is "winning".
That is like saying that a cat burglar who empties a safe of jewelry, fences the diamonds for cash, and doesn't get caught is "winning". Or, that an employer who refuses to pay wages after work has been completed is "winning".
Was Leona Helmsley "winning" when she refused to pay a mason who had built a massive outdoor barbecue at her Connecticut mansion? Was she "winning" when she declared that the mason's need to feed his children would not exist, if he had simply "kept his pants on"?
"Renegotiating" an agreement after you have received your benefit, by simply refusing to honor your own obligations, is not "winning".
It is, by turns, larceny, fraud, deceit, and breach of contract.
Trump is the self-declared master of this sort of immoral business chicanery, and he has stated that fraud, deceit and deception are what the United States needs to be doing, all around the world, right now.
Trump: I Screwed Gadhafi - CNN
Donald Trump: I Screwed Gadhafi - Huffington Post
Trump is rich precisely to the degree that he has impoverished others through wile, deception, clever legal maneuvering and a wanton disregard for how his actions adversely affect others.

Tom…. HDDJ was being facetious.
But thanks for reminding us who Trump really is. I suppose if Trump reneges on the federal debt, then we can save 15 trillion dollars. Woot ! Of course that would probably lead to WW3 with china.. but who cares about that. we would be saving 15 trillion dollars!!!!1!!!111!!! that requires a double woot. Woot Woot !!!

One good thing Trump has going for him:
At least he's consistent, when it comes to being fixated on where other people were born. He says Ted Cruz's place of birth (Canada) poses a serious impediment to his viability as a candidate. This continues Trump's absurd, ignorant and misinformed xenophobia that caused him to demand Obama's birth certificate.
But, Trump's concern about Cruz mostly falls upon the deaf, dumb and blind in his own political party. More GOP members believe that Ted Cruz was born in the United States, than believe that Barack Obama was born in the United States.
40% of GOP voters believe that Ted Cruz was born in America - 29% believe that Barack Obama was born in America.
Again and again, the polls show that a huge bloc of GOP voters are blindly oblivious to facts, truth and accurate statements.
The GOP is now, conveniently, invoking Ted Cruz's mother's U.S. citizenship as proof of his eligibility to be President, regardless of where he was born. (Like Obama's father, Cruz's father was not a U.S. citizen.)
Presumably, the GOP was unaware that Barack Obama's mother was a U.S. citizen when they were demanding proof of Obama's place of birth.

As a proud Canadian, you have my consent (if you think it will help help you guys deal with the Ted Cruz debate) to use him as fish bait.

We need a smart, ruthless sob to counter the menace of the frosty backs to the north, the wet backs to the south, and the rag heads invading from the sky as well as through our enemies to the north and south.
That's it I'm voting for Bernie.

We need a smart, ruthless sob to counter the menace of the frosty backs to the north, the wet backs to the south, and the rag heads invading from the sky as well as through our enemies to the north and south.
From the north, the south, the sky, these are all viable directions from which to perceive a threat, but we are most vulnerable to those who would seek to undermine at the core of the good earth beneath our feet, to chink away from below at the principles of democracy, to erode away at our standing and reputation as that of a balanced, well adjusted, and stable society.
I'm talking about the Mole Men, people! The politicians these days have no clue as to what constitutes the real threat to our existence as Americans. The Mole Men will be the unexpected X problem of this century that catches us with our pants down, as they burrow up and into our bathrooms while we're sitting on the john.
The Mole Men only want one thing from us. They want to take away our dignity. Well, you can rest assured that today's political candidates are not about to let that happen. The Mole Men can't take away something we no longer have. The smiling, cheating, lying, conniving, and despicable politicians have already done most of that that for us.
But be there one shred of dignity left to us, you could be guaranteed that there would only be one candidate capable, strong enough, and probably willing to champion our cause against the Mole Men. That person would be Superman. But unfortunately he would be ineligible to run for office because he does not have US citizenship. That's because Superman is from Krypton.

I was born in Christchurch, NZ. My father was American, my mother a Kiwi. My birth was registered with the US Embassy as a 'citizen born abroad' and I still have the original document. I was acknowledged by the US, at birth, as a US citizen. I was a natural born citizen from birth. I have always thought that I could be president.
New Zealand also recognizes me as a citizen, because my mother was a Kiwi and I was born in NZ; I also have an NZ passport. My daughter, who was born in Seattle, is a US citizen by both birth and parentage; she is also a New Zealand citizen because I was a natural born Kiwi. My daughter has NZ citizenship and also has an NZ passport.
Cruz, although I really loathe the guy, was born American because his mother was an American. If his birth was not registered with a US embassy, however, I think that citizenship vanished. There are reports Cruz' mother voted in Canadian elections; if she did, she had effectively renounced her US citizenship. So, in my supremely considered legal opinion, if Cruz was not registered at birth as a US citizen born abroad, he is not eligible to be president.
Interestingly, Mitt Romney's father George Romney was born in Mexico and was running for president without anyone bringing up all the 'natural born citizen' stuff. And finally, the Repubs can't have it both ways; if Cruz, who WAS born outside the US, can be president, then Obama, who WAS born in the US and who had an American mother, is eligible to be president. The same rule that applies to Cruz has to apply to Obama; the Repubs should apologize for all the bullshit about Obama's birth. But that will never happen.
Edited to prevent the grammar police from arresting me.

And finally, the Repubs can't have it both ways
They consistently try as hard as they can, to have it both ways.
They want liberty and free enterprise, and want to deregulate their own (nefarious) business activities. Simultaneously, they want to enforce their own faux-moralistic behavioral controls on others.
They want to eliminate the "welfare state" and kick the "moochers" off the public dole. But, they want their corporate tax breaks and loopholes, subsidies, and whenever possible, huge bailout packages at taxpayer expense.
Not ironically, it isn't the Democrats who are calling Ted Cruz's eligibility into question. It's his fellow Republicans. I don't recall any question about Obama's eligibility coming from the Democrats when he was running in 2008. The Republicans are more cannibalistic than the Democrats.

Even though I declared my vote for Bernie above, i'll put my money on Trump assuming his unprecedented rally crowd numbers translate to his nomination.
