Left to Right ...... Josh, Sarah and Todd G.

Tucker looks really at home buried in the leather chair. :D

Dang, we have the nicest people show up in the family of rock. On far right in blue shirt is Bob from Allied Climbers of San Diego. He drove all the way to this remote outpost to support the climbing community. Bob also was instrumental in my first ..... all by myself ......attendance of the Climbers Club meeting. I went alone and sweating it out when I got there. But Bob and friend graciously invited me to sit at their table. Peace to Yo always for your kindness Dude.

if you asked walt disney to build you a boulder park, mt woodson would be it, a short, steep access road leads you thru a plethora of boulders,
by far, all the best problems here are cracks, there are hundreds of them!
big ones, small ones, in between ones, flare out, flare in, sideways cracks, you name it.

i think the road builders were also rock climbers, because they took the road right thru the best problems!

Animal Mike, this guy, watchin him operate is like watching a hungry linebacker attack a steak dinner, i mean,...this finger traverse was done in 3.1 seconds, i kid you not>

made this look like a walk in the park>

Lynne,

I fully intended to come out, but we was just havin' too much fun on the Mountain. The were about 10 of us at Test Tube/Crucible late, by the time we had some much needed Mex food in Poway, we would have been rolling into Valley Center at about 10PM!
Thanks for hosting those bums anyway. I see some of the bad kids managed to sneak in, I hope you locked up your valuables.

Mt. Woodson is a special place and a memorable part of my climbing from many years ago. I had a great time climbing there again and meeting so many new friends. Thanks to everyone involved.

the "High" point of the trip for me was smoking a bowl with Bridwell after i lost my lighter and needed a light,

he was walking down the access road, puffin on a cig and talkin it up at the same time, down there somewhere>

i caught Jaybro pulling off some weird, reverse horizontal dyno, with a half twist, three cushion into the corner pocket" move, back there with Mad Mike>

if an Apache Indian crawled out of those rocks with a bow and arrow,

i would not even do a double take.

but, being up there during a first class earthquake,

would be like being a bowling pin in an alley with 1000 giant balls!

What is the geological/geomorphological reason for the existence of such an uusual landform? Similar to Joshua Tree, or?

All I can figure is that I somehow fell in with the wrong crowd late Friday morning. People seemed to be jumping into the Big Grunt and actually enjoying it. What was with that? I had to go elsewhere before any of that non-sense could rub off on me, otherwise I was afraid I might get delerious and try MS.

It was a pleasure to meet people and put real faces to the names.

Watusi, it sure would have been nice if you could have made it. A lot of people wished they could have seen/met you.

Thanks to Tripper and son for bringing up the cold beverages and sharing them with everybody.

Cool seeing some of the woodson homeys again that used to school me. Now I've been to your house so you owe me one...I hear Rubidoux is nice this time of year. Or maybe when we finish our problem at woodson we'll simply call it "Rubidoux Raiding Party" or "Welcome to Rubidoux". Yeah, that's the ticket...
