It would be hypocritical if I said everyone should give up fossil fuels now, and then didn't do it myself.

It's NOT hypocritical to say we need to get find a way to wean ourselves from fossil fuels but continue to use them to some degree in the meantime until that day comes.

THE only reason they are hugely profitable is cuz hypocrites as yourself, that propitiate the AGW agenda, keep filling your fossil fuel driven vehicles with their, the monopolistic petroleum industries, product.
No. One of the main reasons they are hugely profitable is because most of the real costs to our generation, and to those of the past, and especially to those of the future, have been externalized.

Since this country is supposed to be largely based on individual responsibility I find it very sickening that sooooo many people can not seem to take responsibility for themselves and post under their real name: be it this forum or any other.
I know, I know, people post under an avatar to "protect" themselves.....which is a crock.
If you have to post under an avatar to "protect" yourself, then you've done or are planning to do some pretty f*#ked up sh#t and probably deserve what ends up coming at you.
Also, if you can't or don't want to post under your real name you are nothing more than an avatar and your opinions should be considered as such as well, a bunch of 1's and 0's meaning nothing real.

While I don't believe there's a consensus about the Earth being round and not flat, I don't think I'll wait for a consensus on that one.
