Woke up on my own at 10:00! Could swear it was going to be atleast 1400 when I looked at the clock! I guess those early morning wake ups converted me somewhat...

I can't wait to see Nathan's pictures of this thing...that should be pretty cool. Keep posting the pictures up!

Just got back - had a great time! Really great to meet some new people and see old friends! Special thanks to Gary and Lynne for putting such a great effort into this event! Ed Hartouni's slideshow on Saturday was hilarious!

Edit: sorry, Ron - I am new. Thanks for yours and anyone else's input I may have overlooked in my n00bness. Thanks, all - it was a great time.

Here's some pictures

Lynne's house was above and beyond...it really was! You provided a very comfortable and peaceful atmosphere Lynne. Thanks for the wonderful food you prepared and for the delicious oranges, thanks again! The speech you gave was priceless, thank you for being transparent, you're making a difference in many lives. Keep on sharing our purpose here on this earth. Thanks Ron Gomez for all your help and to Ed Hartouni for the entertainment, I may have forgotten to mention that.

I just spoke to photographer Nathan Smith at 1500. He's on the road going through Vegas on his way back home to SLC. My friend and consumate helper during the event, Doug, said, "Nathan has the patience and dilegence of Job with his photography. He's the quiet giant." I couldn't agree more! Doug, I hope my little four year old, Jordan, wasn't too much for you to handle. Watching him was invaluable! Mr. Doll and Jeff, I appreciate your help too.

My gratitude continues to Mr. Dan Henderson for the use of his gym for the multimedia presentations. Jules and Kenna, you did a great job as well, be sure to thank and all your workers for their assistance too. Alex Dikowski, you did a great job with the design of the posters, flyers and at the gym with the audio video work, that was awesome. Mr. Bridwell, and Chris Lindner, thanks for your wisdom and talents, what a treat.

Steve Belford, thanks for absorbing the costs for the shipping of the Climbing Magazines at the the entrance and for your ideas. It's always nice to see you after all these years. Terri Upton, I'll get out to Eagle Peak one of these days, I promise! Can't wait to see the photo's of b.i.t.d.!

I had to interrupt a young couple at Painted Boulder at the end of the day, Saturday, to ask for their help in retrieving my rope and gear down from atop the Uncertainty Principle boulder. I hope that turned out to be a good and safe experience for you both, thank you.

I keep re-reading this and I know I've left someone out, but my thanks go out to you too. To anyone I may have offended, it wasn't intentional. I would hope, at our age, we can move on. All in all it was a great ride.

Glory to God!

It truly was an Awesome Event. Thanks Gary for putting it all together. It takes much work to make things Happen. This was worth it. Blessings to yo Bro !

The unwashed masses (Kidding totally, all guests were better looking and more behaved than most of the guests at the White House.) began to arrive at the Leichtfuss Casa Thursday Eve.

A few of us ..... Todd Gordon, Tucker Tech, Jim Bridwell, lucky-lucky me and Sarah climbed Friday a.m. at Dixon Lake. Sweet place and nice rock.

I found out Friday nite at the Vetical Hold Gym Media Event that our very own Tucker has been on the Cover of Climbing Magazine ...... Twice. Wow! He's such a humble Dude......and he is making every attempt to help me learn to climb. Can you Imagine ? Oh Tucker, thank you :DD

Regarding the graffiti up near Jaws/Baby Robbins, I'll see if I can't get a crew up there to work on it. I believe that ACSD has some spray paint remover that's environmentally friendly. It takes more work, but there's no nasty chemicals in it. I've done spray paint removal up there before. If anyone wants to join ACSD or even just donate, it's an awesome group. Check out:

Okay, it makes more sense now...those picture's of Tucker and Sarah are at Lake Dixon, not Woodson! I couldn't figure out what Woodson route's those were!

And then there was the honor of having Mr. Bridwell as a house guest. Awesome! I don't think I'd ever met the maestro of rock in person before.
He's lived some life.....and is still living, thinking, moving and creating on this planet.

In some respects, to me, he epitomizes the essence of the sport and the life of the rock. So many incredible accomplishments....yet not a problem for him to spend a day on the rock with the likes of lynnie. A few succinct sentences taught me more than I would figure out in a year and keep me from some pretty horrific problems.

Blessings to yo always Sir........

And then there's Gordo. Author, mover and shaker ......and poor mon, one of lynnie's mentor's. His love and enthusiasim always moves you up at least one level when you're on the rock. The people I've met while revolving around Todd's planet is amazing :D And they're all great !

Josh, there's a useful discussion of graffiti removal methods at http://supertopo.com/climbers-forum/250737/Yosemite_Spray_Paint_in_the_Gunsight Including discussion of the various removers, some of which are claimed to be environmentally friendlier. Probably not news to you guys, but thought I'd pass it on.

Uhhhh, and yes we ate well. :D

Kevin Worrall (L) and Dick Cilley having fun reminiscing.....Guys, thanks for coming! You both had to drive quite a bit to get to the Casa out in the middle of oranges, but everyone that took time out of their lives to make it happen created the chemistry of an evening people will never forget. :D

I'm hoping to be there. Looking at flights is on the to-do list for this week. If I make it, it'll be for 5 - 6 days, to get some exercise in.
