Chief, do you believe in gravity?
-- Gary
Now ya'll are going to equate AGW with the natural universal law of gravity.
-- The Chief
Ahh, a simple glimpse into a simple mind.
Now we see how The Chief does it! Somebody makes a statement, and The Chief goes kazy off the charts with assumptions and projections about the meaning of the statement.
Hey The Chief, did Gary ever equate gravity with AWG??
Only in your mind, brother, only in your mind...

Before you guys get too bent out of shape over The Chief, be advised that his first post on summitpost was about his plan to place convenience anchors in the U Notch.

And I know you really want to be right, so... stick to what you know - your own behaviour.
Goclimb, I'm calling you on this one. I dispute that The Chief knows his own behavior. He is a Don Quixote defending virtue and righteousness against the armies of ignorance and weakness. Take that you freakin' windmill!
Don't be ridiculous. The Chief knows his own behavior perfectly well, and has described it right here in this thread.
Some of you here are nuts. It makes no more sense to claim that because The Chief is stubbornly wrong about AGW, that must mean he doesn't know what he himself is doing, than it does to claim that because Al Gore builds mansions and flies around in personal jets, that must mean he's wrong about AGW.
Clearly The Chief has a personal outlook on life, and a lifestyle, that have at their foundation a set of core tenets which would be seriously eroded if AGW were true. So in order to live his life, AGW must be false.
Trying to convince him otherwise is, therefore, a personal attack. It's also guaranteed to fail. The only way it would succeed is if something in his own real life caused him to radically change/abandon his own core beliefs and lifestyle. In other words, not gonna happen.

Yup! Now for the rest of the story....
Sorry, Chief, I'm immune to your trolls. I was just giving the fellas here a heads up as to your MO.
But you should start a thread about Sierra convenience anchors. That should be good for a couple of thousand posts around here.

You most definitely are the humper dude, eh. Try to get some, puke instead after she runs off laughing at your ass and then you have nothing left but to stay behind to frolic and consume your own bile. All the while, she is off and having a peaceful day. This assuredly epitomizes your life. Good one.
I miss your whines about insults.
Please, do it again!

The Chief wrote:

Meaning that you allow. Might want to correct that.
Here's he full sentence:
The fact is that I refuse to not allow what you and your side perceives as what "might" happen, to affect me.
That sentence reads that you indeed allow "what the other side perceives ..." to affect you.
Carry on.

weschrist, don't take The Chief seriously. He's an Internet cartoon character out for a troll, that's all. That's his thing. A real life reliable source tells me he's a good guy to climb with.
His picture on summitpost of a roped up party on the approach to Winchell is pretty funny, you have to admit.

Chief, got a question for you I tried to get you to answer yesterday, you probably did not see it.
I accept that you believe the Scientific Method was "flawed", data interpreted wrongly, regarding the conclusion of "science" behind CC.
However, you really do seem to be anti science in general, not just specifically CC stuff.
The results, the successes of science are all around you. Your military career was based on scientific knowledge, the car you drive, the computer you type on.
So why do you come across as so emotionally anti-science in general, not just CC?

No Chief.
Those words and conclusions are yours, not mine, I never said any of those things.
Of course human knowledge, science, can and did result in bad things as well as good things.
No one has said otherwise, no one denies this.
But are you really suggesting that because humans used scientific knowledge for "evil", as well as good, that humans should not be using any of that knowledge, that humans would be "better off" if we did not employ these learned scientific skills, that we are better off living as early humans did tens of thousands of year ago?
Help me out on this as I am not clear just exactly what you conclude.

So let me get this straight The Queef. You went to a witch doctor when you received combat injuries, right? Because you know, science is evil and all that.

You really otta come up and get on some of our new routes. You can climb .10-.11 plus slab can't ya?
My climbing sux right now, but, to be serious for a moment, I'd like to see some of your new routes, if the Sierra ever opens up this year. GC assures me you're a safe climber, and if your OK with that guy, you're OK with anybody!
Rope up I say. Lots of hidden boulder and tree wells lurking up yonder. Complacency indeed kills.
Complacency, IMHO, might be the number one killer of climbers. Now, to get back to harrassing you :-), roping up on those Palisade glaciers might be overkill, though. I understand when guiding you're acting under different constraints. Crossing snow bridges over the creeks ALWAYS gives me the willies, but belaying across them seems to be a bit much.

Genetics, dinosaurs, men on the moon. All bullsh#t. For every co-called fact they can give me, i can dismiss it as fabricated nonsense. It's already a well-known-fact that all the moon landings were faked. Man has never set foot into space, and I would be willing to bet that nothing else has either. All the pictures from so-called sattelites ... FAKE, all pictures from other plantes ... FAKE, and how can we believe most so-called fossils are truly what they say if their so-called carbon dating bullshit comes from these perverting scientists too? In truth - We can't.
Oh we have all seen the pictures of a cloned sheep. Ha ha. Like all sheep don't look identical. Prove to me it was cloned, and not just some slight-of-hand magician's trick to make the masses actually believe cloning is possible.
So in an effort to prove these pathetic scientists wrong, I set them a task. They ask me to prove God exists? Well I asked them to prove to me the Earth is round, not flat. Prove this to me - NOT with so-called 'genuine' pictures from 'outerspace', or any of your other science fiction bullsh#t.
Because we know that it is flat, and that God lets people 'flip' to the other side safely.
