THAT 70s IQ SHOW

"After having realized he had been born stupid and was not at fault, he learned a lotta dumb stuff about himself day after day and thus became less ignorant about who he was: either he was Dumb, or he was Dumber. Since he was the only one there, he figured out that he was also the dumbest one there."

“In politics, stupidity is not a handicap.”
― Napoléon Bonaparte

and all they do is inflate their egos with their own bag of wind

“Talk, talk, talk: the utter and heartbreaking stupidity of words.”
― William Faulkner, Mosquitoes

so is your mother

“Sometimes a man wants to be stupid if it lets him do a thing his cleverness forbids.”
― John Steinbeck, East of Eden

what do you hall of fame bitches know?

“Beauty fades, dumb is forever.”
― Judy Sheindlin, Beauty Fades, Dumb is Forever

Peaceful out there, in the outback there, by yer lonesome. Thanks, hooblie.

Peaceful. Relaxing. Did you run into any aliens out thataway?

I heard there were reports of rumors about gossip some folks were eyewitness to that indicated there were some flyin', purple hooblie-eaters spotted back in the mid-twentieth century out that direction.
Do not confuse with flying eaters of purple hooblies. There are no known purple hooblies.

zBrown thought he may have seen a purple hooblie, but he swore me to secrecy. heh

Only real proof I got about those purple critters was from one of Gil Favor's old trail hands.[Click to View YouTube Video]He never called them hooblies. They weren't ever hooblies. Who said that?

"Is he wearin' short shorts?"

My favorite of hooblie's shots there is the last, the one of the horizon from the top. All "very nize."

my favorite of Hooblies' is the one with the ferns. I'm calling it Life Among the Lichens.
Cause you know those lichens are busy busting up the rock, turning it into sand.

The place reminds me of the plains of Africa. Thank you Hooblie.

Thank you Hooblie, and thank you Mouse, for the beautiful Hendrix version by Luna. Sweet.
I hope your smoky air is clearing by now, and that you can go outside and take a deep breath without coughing! We have pretty near clear skies today.
Rotate. Revolve. Spin. Charming.

I post but must not burn the toast.
Kids are off today. Climbing on the Jude ish holiday, is this the fasting one?

Good grief it's mid September and I only have about seven pitches of new stone completed.
There is a lot of rock that needs to be at least rapped and climbed on that rap/toprope aid thing
that I've tried to stop doing.
It is like hero riot,no it is a heavy drug, it soothes my need to climb, but the risk is real.
Every time I get in over my head I thinks " jeez I need to find a clone, this is dangerous alone".

The n0OB,C4, is out . . . for the hand is surely fooked,

and the other very competent climber?
He showed up, with a water tote and no pack,
so I carried the freakin' load.

He can't see past my gut and scratched legs, old pack (better than none,DERP!),
Also my bad? (Not tight after ten feet) belay, and my general command of the vertices.

Is that right usage?
The vertical and I dance in a confounding way ,

but yes, some day I mayfly off some damn rock or cliff. . . Well, we all take that risk a bit.

I will continue to try to cajole some of this generations dreamers to get out with me.
I am not gettin' any younger.

In reference to the same photo
the lichen pattern reminds me of some predatory thing.
A slowly-growing multi-colored hooblie-eater?

Don't eat that crow, Jim
"Crowing is a warning signal advertising territorial claims. Our preliminary data suggest that the highest ranked rooster has priority in breaking the dawn, and lower [ranking] roosters are patient enough to wait and follow the highest ranked rooster each morning," said Yoshimura.

joke?

Shimmura-san is to be thanked, also, for that enlightened discourse on rooster crowing, since he helped. It's the civil thing, y'know? Nawmean?

What do they have to say about crows roosting?

Knowledge of another's thoughts is a given in conversation? Really? I know what you mean, I guess, I simply never thought about it, y'know? I can see how using "Nawmean?" is a conversational crutch to compensate for the speaker's lack of confidence in his ability to convey thoughts.

It cries out, "I may be stupid, but I have an opinion and that is blah-blah-blah. So, is it worth a dang?"

A simple verbal bow to one's listener might could mean sorta the same thing in another language, such as Japanese, as long as we're there.

Or it could mean, "This conversation is ended. You're off belay."Polite Beaver, unlike Polite Elephant, never forgets his manners.

Does anyone recall that old climbing rag, Off Belay? It was interesting, nawmean?

I saw our correspondent from Terrapin Station, Farmer Bruce the Suvivor, took a little walk on the wilder side, like hooblie did, and posted to his Facebook page.

Got enough selfies, Bruce? :0)
Still, it was good to see you out alone, communin' and stuff.

I need a good walk, too. Knees are painful and getting to the place I want to walk is just problematic. Something to do besides wait for my dental cleaning.

I had a great solo early-morning walk two years ago when the Rim fire was still active, on August 28, 2013. The grasses have only gotten sparser since then, I'm sure. And are much drier, I bet, too.

About Jody's talent with photography--good sillhouettes--zBrown's judgement is impeccable in these matters.

I get along with the shabby equipment I have.
Everyone has more money to spend on cameras than I, it only seems, I know, but still.

That's the same guy as this, hard to believe. Thanks for posting that, Timely TopRope...I need to call el jefe.
Is it proper etiquette to condole someone for their loss, even though you don't know who the heck passed? You just know someone did and nothing more.

I wonder wonder why...why do we do the things we always do without thinking?

Is it cuz we're maybe busy wonderin' about somethin' entirely different, even?

When a bear can't sleep in the winter, does she get up and go outside or stay inside walking in a small circle?

I'm glad I'm not a bear. Well, I am a Merced Bear, and I was a Bear Scout in Cubs.
Here's a pitiable shot of the Tuolumne River my niece took.I can hardly bear to look.

Jesus is my ski coach, my conditioning coach, my life ooach, and He's a real hang-loose guy, too, but serious, y'know?

And look at this body! I'm a walkin' fitness gym ad!The Reeves deadlift is definitely an old-school movement which has been lost in the annals of time.
However, it is one that is highly effective in targeting the hamstrings, spinal erectors, lower and middle back.
In addition, it helps to build grip and the forearms, making it a truly Herculean exercise.
The technique is simple, but the movement itself is quite a difficult one.
With your feet shoulder-width apart, bend at the hips, seize a plate in each hand and perform a standard deadlift.

Still off the big good box,
Go to theWIkee page for my great uncle . . .He is one of the two Ernest Fooks, of Melbourne Australia, both artists, and Architects originally from Austria. Ernst Leslie Fuchs, is most likely Great uncle Ernst. He is the older one and died in 1985.. Tthe haggard Hippie? woe this is a strange cat , man look at that guy!

I will try to link the head band wearing other ones contributions to mankind
but if I fail to some one should. . This here is a weak try. Slackin' 'back In...

Both of those Fuchs or Fooks (Who do they think they were fooling?) are cool old geezers in Melbourne Australia via Vienna Austria ? . . .
Hope to re turn turn turn turn turn. . . . . . Back. . .
in . . this is . . ? wellwe figure this guys' work, and this,That Is In A Church A Baptismal fontain or would that truly be a font?

your own search will turn up some cool trippy stuff .
My share here is very weak sauce, but at least it is here to start with. There is a shot of this Fook with Yoko the O No, and some very diturbing drawings.

For me, his art is tuff to look at. It seems, we must, all three, be related. . .
This is not his but the color scheme is /are??

Makes me wonder why there is no motion footage of those American beauties.

Good silhouettes in this one. These skis look suspiciously like they were cut down from the 220's McKinney gave hB.
