We are here!!!! This trip is going to be awesome!

The MexiCocina is right across the street from the motel. We're headed there now and then up the road for some climbing. We'll try the other place next.

The weather is beyond stellar!

Looking forward to seeing the hordes!

That would be Vertical Hold at 9580 Distribution Ave. San Diego, CA 92121

Phone # 858-586-7572. Just talked to them minutes ago. They are jazzed to have Jim and Chris Linder there and from 7-9pm no climbing just the Linder/Bridwell Slideshow.

If yo coming from North County take 15 south to Miramar ROAD, not Way. Go west or right on Miramar Road past a giant pyramid building on right. Just after this look for Distribution Ave. and make a right. The climbing gym will be on the left. See you all there. Smiles, lynnie

Rumour has it that Lynne's party is going to go off. I heard one person per number of posts, standing room only.

Well, before I post the itinerary, which everyone will get as you head up the moutain Friday and Saturday morning, I have to share with all of you what I got treated with today on the mountain...I'm speechless to say the least...

I initailly met up with Chris Lindner and his friend Nate on the trail in, to the paved road. Chris had visions of making it up to Kurtains for Certain but I deviated straight for I Hear My Train A Comin' to work on the ground start for which I was getting close to linking.

What came next was jaw dropping...

Not only did Chris effortlessly float up the ground start on a TR but came back down and asked if a sit start had ever been done. I told him that, to my knowledge, it's never been done but told him I've looked at the holds down there and figured that it might be possible for some freak of nature some day. Well, this is when I realized that this very monster was sitting in front of me! I watched Chris onsight the sit start which, well, I'm just going to let another witness the sequence tomorrow or Saturday, and then continued to the top unroped! Btw, I did progress past the crux on the ground start and eventually through in the stone start but not after taking off a few flappers in the process, for what it's worth!

To continue, we headed back down to Aids Victim in which Chris made short work of and then repeated it to figure out a more efficient sequence. After this we headed up to Retropulsion where Chris repeated it in style, then again, proceeded to throw in a sit start to this as well!

We finished down at Hard As Nails where I actually got an opportunity to succeed at something. Ever see the backside of H.A.N.? Chris has his eye on this and want's to do a direct start on Rock The Boat, yes, a direct start below the third bolt! Stay tuned!

I may be behind the times but I now know that NOTHING is impossible these days! And, of course no camera to document any of it! Wait until you see him yourself, unbelievable!

BES1'st, That pic is of PHD at woodson. It's rated 5.12.a It is on the north side of the hill with homes visible below.
The thin red line is on cyclops rock and is harder in my opinon. If I remember right the line follows a faint reddish dike and PHD follows a thin seam.
