A potential dangerous way to tie off in this example using a clove hitch. Should Walt pop the clove hitch could/will see extreme immediate load and wear against the rock which could damage the rope.
A butterfly knot would be more appropriate here.

Well Kev,
Probably a lot of the photos on this thread I ripped from other super topo threads -but I try to give credit when that's the case.
('Could be there's a few of them have no idea where/who/what thread they originated from)
Carter recently sent me a CD with his photos.
He's on a very slow connection so he can't really post and view photos very well at all.
Otherwise, I did take a few snapshots of my own along the way...
