Shandy can be very nice on a hot summer's day, though in North America you probably have to make your own. Lager plus lemonade, ginger ale, or perhaps Seven Up.

Hi guys, this is one of the best threads IMHO.

Why? Because when you eat and drink....you can also discourse about other things while still remaining on topic.

Tonight I had a delicious Chile Relleno and Bohemia beer at a nice little Mexican Place in Idyllwild, CA.

Idyllwild where Suicide Rock is....Where after a 20 plus year hiatus from climbing Lynners actually climbed today. Real rock instead of a gym. I AM SO EXCITED !!!!

Thanks to special guys Todd Gordon, Tucker and Tim (from Josh Tree) I was able to pull off 3 pitch 5.8 Suprise.....Skigliak a 5.10 face climb and the Shadow, 5.8.

The men aquitted themselves well with several 5.10cs and ds.

Anyway, just got back and had to share the news with someone and thought of my mellow, fun thread buddies here!!!!!

Thanks for listening. Lynnie

Glad you had a nice adventure today!

"Thanks to special guys Todd Gordon, Tucker and Tim (from Josh Tree)"

Aren't they the guys who take off their clothes, or other peoples' trousers, or something like that?

That Re-Todd! I wanted to go up to Idyllwild, but ended up at Russ' place where we drank beer, ate Pork Chub Sandwitches and shot pool. I drove home wearing my patented DU Eye patch to make the lines in the road single. It was swell!

Mighty Hiker, Nah, they are the upstanding citizens...now there are others who I will not name right now....whist I keep on topic by telling I am drinking a boring Chardonnay coupled with string cheese....that do...the reprobates of Josh Tree...please, don't try to pry the names out of me,,,,please, oh pleasee nooooo!

Blitzo, thanks for giving up your spot on the team today for me...it did more for me than words (or, to keep on topic, food) could ever do to help Lynne as she begins Lynne's life part 2.

smiles, Lynnie

I hope it was Far Niente Chardonnay and music by String Cheese Incident!

Oh, yeah, Tucker is upstanding, or is he a stand up citizen?

Upstanding!

Had a Bacon Green Chili Cheeseburger in Datil yesterday. I've never truly loved a hamburger until now.

HB, I think you are a new poster to Natures Vegan Thread...we all just manage it for him...he's a pretty busy guy...does drop in ONCE in a BLUE moon.....

Where the heck is Datil and what were the cons on the bacon chili cheese burger?

OBTW......I don't think anyone can diagnosis Tucker with any tongue problems...Looks pretty healthy.....hehehe

Vegan thread? There are many posts of non-vegan food. Or is that just the title? Apparently I'm confused.

Datil is in New Mexico. A very small town. A blip on the map, really. They do have a gas station/restaurant however. And they make a mean Bacon Green Chile Cheeseburger.

The cons of the burger? There were no cons, none at all.

The pro's, on the other hand, were many.
1- It had bacon. Not just some sissy strip of cheap bargain bacon but full on meaty, crispy bacon.
2- It had cheese.
3- It had Green Chile. (If you have never been to New Mexico then I'm guessing you've never had Green Chile. That is a HUGE MISTAKE. Green Chile is fan-fukin-tastic. It goes great on so many things. Oh, and Green Chile stew is amazing.)
4- It was the perfect food after a hard days climbing.

It truly was a perfect burger. My mouth is watering now as I remember the delicious masterpiece I consumed yesterday.
If ever passing through Datil you are probably going climbing at the Enchanted Tower. Stop and savor the BGCCB, you won't regret it.
