Could it be on the Continental Crag, which is the next crag up the slope?
The Continental Crag? Never heard of it ... is that still below the train tracks?
I do recall we hiked quite a ways up the hillside, then settled for a very minor but
nice-looking corner (having overshot all the big stuff).
BTW, did you have a good view of the Divide from up there? That always seemed special,
about the high crags in Eldo. My first trip up to Rincon, it seemed like a grand lonely place.

Yes, Continental Crag is up the hill but below the tracks.
Rossiter's book says the first climbs there were done in 1986.
I may go up there to have a look and if I find your route, will bump that back a decade...
And the view of the high peaks is pretty nice; if you look at the picture of Greg up thread, you can just make them out and they're still covered in lots of snow, exceeding the 30-year average accumulation.

Sorry Larry, but we couldn't find your route.
But we went to Continental Crag.
On the way down we got these views of Red Garden and Naked Edge:

Tarman,
Love the hat in your pictures; I know you got the cowboy in 'ya and its fun to see you riding the rock and sky in your "helmet".
Cheers,

Roy, thanks for looking. I guess our route is lost. But it looks like you found a fine place to go climbing.

Brandon Thau on The Land of Milk and Honey - 12b
Shangri La Wall at Shuteye Ridge
This was the second route I bolted on the wall and even as good as Shangri La (11a) is, this may be my favorite on the wall.
Sustained 11+ climbing to a little boulder problem towards the top.
Very fun line on beautiful stone.

Russ, somehow I missed your post on the last page. Nice shots. Some of the areas I recognize, others not.
Where were the ones taken showing the heavily plated/patina face climbing?
The New Jack pic looks good too.

Tarbuster, good guess on Bad Ass Mama. The view is looking away
from Washington Column, though. The tell-tale background might
be more like Snow Creek Slabs.
I agree, out of that batch of shots, the one of Gary gives the
compelling view.
Furthermore, I want to emphasize that I dogged my way up Cream.
The sequence of shots seems to be from my next attempt.

Nice. I was going to guess Woodson, but wasn't sure as I didn't recognize the crack. So many nice ones there...
