Great shots and memories. But what's the parking lot without a shot of Fish's GKBH impaled on his bus’s antenna? Someone's gotta have one of those in their archives.

Remember the story of Nick getting attacked on the head by a crow on the way up to one of the high camps..... God love the guy.... He would always be in his robe going to take a shower when I was on my way to work at TM lodge... "Looking good" he'd always say.....

Steve Amter said: "Offwhite, who are you? Did we climb in Tucson?"
Yup, and I went by Off White back then too. Here's a photo from 1985, maybe 6 months before Faith & I (with then-little-Ben) moved to Tucson. It's even a parking lot of sorts that a number of Supertacos have been to, so it's even on topic.
You and I did FIUTT and Desire one day in Tucson. You led Desire and must have thought I was looking a little iffy, since you set up a sling shot top rope and ran the rope straight through a 1" sling, perhaps not feeling confident I would make the anchor and not wanting to lose any carabiners? Hah, that might be why I remember it so clearly. We hung out at parties (Davidson's, Jimmerson's, etc) and Beanfests & such as well.
Good to hear you're still out there!

Off: how are you?
I pulled out my old copy of Steiger's guidebook and DAMN, I had notations for climbing both Desire and FIUTT with you. Good times!
I have no recollections for setting up a sketchy belay system - if I did rig it to lower on a bare runner(!), a safety no no, I was an A-hole!

Thanks Steve I thought I saw a thread somewhere back there.....
It used to be sooooo empty.
I must admit there was a section down? Up thread that is priceless. Mine do not compare, but they are frozen moments of an amazing time.
