Recently I posted about the possibility Trump might voluntarily exit the race. A substantial part of his quote of his net worth is based upon the presumed value of his name. That value may be affected by his actions or performance in the campaign, something he would be loath to have happen. Anyway, this possibility is now in play.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/senior-gop-officials-exploring-options-trump-drops/story?id=41089609

This article posits that for a change in the name on ballots to be made in time for the election, he will have voluntarily to drop out by early September. The skill with which the Democratic convention was staged supports the idea that there are some pretty bright people involved. Those people will be anxious Trump does not drop out. It would seem the campaign between now and early September will be a walk on a very sharp knife's edge.

Personally. I think the country would have the best chance for a productive election if the RNC were to ask Bernie to replace Trump. This is not a negative statement about Hillary's qualifications. I meant it when I posted that the Democrats have "a very deep bench."

Not sure if this was posted, but Trump says if he loses, it will be because the election was rigged.

We've had over two hundred years of peaceful transitions of power, and this narcissistic puke is challenging it.

He has no respect for our best traditions. This is what dictators do, folks. I would call on Ryan and McConnell to challenge him on this but they are spineless enablers.

Trump's ego can't stand the thought of getting whipped by a woman, so it is already building a protective wall to keep the truth out.

Yesterday two people, Meg Whitman a republican and President Obama a Democrat, expressed what Dirtbag says above. McConnell and Ryan will need to follow Whitman in the next couple of weeks. Don't rule out the possibility McConnell and Ryan are both patriots.

If they do step up to the plate Obama will need to give them both deep secret service protection.

Careful, Trump may drop out and the repubs will replace with Kasich, who polled much better than Clinton

All through the past eight years Obama has demonstrated he understands the American form of government does not assure him he will get what he wants. We have a patriot on our hands. If it is Kasich, then it is Kasich.

Even the Oil Companies have come clean and said they fabricated and funded the climate change denial hoax.

Yet the people that will have to be judged as all having an extremely low IQ still believe the denial hoax.

Exxon are in court for first investigating climate change and then fabricating lies that contradicted their earlier findings

We will wish these denialist's the best
For they have demonstrated that it's possible to be a complete brainwashed dupe and a failure as a human in being able to discern fact from fiction.
They are unknowingly the Tools of the Fossil Fuel Industry.
They prey on these idiots to spread the flat earth BS, and these low IQ folks suck it up like candy, they want to believe the lies, it's so important to prove those Gov. funded scientists wrong. they yell "They need GCC to be true to get funded!"

And Now
When science and the mainstream media revealed that the Fossil Fuel Industry fabricated the whole denial scam, it's over.
Being Anti-Science will never work out for you, it's a losing proposition, you lost, you failed, your precious lies about GCC failed you, you get an "F" in understanding how science works.

At the core, It's all about hating environmentalists and liberals.
They have to fight against those commie tree hugging liberal regulations that will let ISIS kill us all!!

More juicy hyperbole from the smartest guy in the room. ;-)

If Hillary wins, it is the Republicans fault for allowing Trump to happen.

Allowing it? They caused it.

A new report claims that the United States paid Iran $400 million to release four American prisoners.

When Iran released the hostages in January, including journalist Jason Rezaian and former U.S. Marine Amir Hekmati, the Obama administration denied that they had paid ransom to the country.

However, according to new information first reported by the Wall Street Journal, $400 million worth of currency was flown into Tehran on a cargo plane around the same time as the prisoners were released.

The plane was reportedly carrying Euros, Swiss Francs and other currencies because Iranian transactions involving dollars is not legal under U.S. law.

Margaret Brennan reported that U.S. officials said the timing was coincidental.

Coincidence indeed.

Jody, the Republicans have lost the popular vote in 5 or the last 6 Presidential elections

in fact in the last two elections by over 8 million votes

clearly, the American voting public prefers a Democrat in the White House

why do you suppose they don't want a Republican? think about it, any idea?

Thinking I'll probably vote for Gary Johnson. I'd almost say he has a chance to win, but I think it will take a couple more decades until social media is so influential that the Dem/Repub establishment will be made obsolete. Right now the biggest demographic of voters is old people who tend to vote their party ticket without ever paying attention to politics or what the candidates have to say, and "going viral" on social media doesn't reach them. That's how Hillary won the nomination over Bernie I think.

But I do think a Libertarian in the white house would go a long ways toward mending some of the partisan politics that have been fermenting these last several years. Whereas either a Trump or Clinton presidency would just polarize America even further. I probably would have voted for Ron Paul over Obama in '08 had he won the Republican primary.

Plus when Gary Johnson was asked "If you could be anywhere other the campaign trail right now, where would it be?" His response: "Rock climbing".
