After climbing/core yesterday and pre-work 1 hrs 5 mins of cardio today, I was down to 169. According to scales it means I lost 10 lbs. BUT I am sure a lot of it was sweat and timing. Real weight is around 171, but psyched anyway. Have to continue down to be 164 BEFORE sweating.

I fell off the wagon last night. Dinner with my son. I think that is a worthy reason. I know I coulda had salad but we were at a great fish and chips place. I didn't eat the fries...well maybe 2.

Two day road trip starting tomorrow. It's usually a crap shoot what I eat on those. The real problem is no body movement. That lack of movement really gets me. Badly.

So I may have to look more towards the end of the week to get back on track.

My name is Susan and I am a fatty.

Totally worthy reason, Susan. And we love all of you, even the fatty bits.

Vitaly - way to go!

Crusher - I'm a 9 hour a day commuter, too! We gotta start a group session.

Pwef and Aya - Hilarious!

Five Thirty - the salmon, spinach, and eggs sounds too good. Gotta go shopping today, saw Sockeye for 7.99...

Wound up on the drunk not fat diet this weekend - revisited the old stompin' grounds up there you can't cross the street without bumping into a microbrew. Too cold to climb so skiied downhill hard, then hiked around Smith Rock, visualizing the future and remembering the past...(sigh)

Meanwhile back at the ranch did circuit weights and hangboard with 20 grams carb Monday, six-mile hill run (these East Bay hills are like teletubby hills right now, sooo pretty) and enduro cling with fasting yesterday, now down to 180.8. Got the gut cleared out, the glycogen right down there where I can dial it in, now all I need is a wagon to fall off of. St. Patty's anybody?

Yesterday was weird. As I said, I went to the gym early before work and did an hour of cardio and stretched after. Than went on a 30 min walk and went to yoga after work. The yoga class was more of a stretching, low intensity class and I felt like I have energy after. So I took the following power yoga class. After 3 hours of yoga I was done and today I am resting till the evening, when I will go climb at the gym. Hope to recover and follow the healthy diet for the next two days, as it seems a few friends and I will try climbing something long in the Valley.

How did you get the gut cleaned out? :) The BMs are rare now. :( (sorry for TMI)

Lose some flab and send the gnar brah! Caitlin told me Maria got injured, super fortunate you are able to go.
So you scramble eggs and in the end of it throw some pieces of salman into it? Do you cook the spinach with it all, separately or eat it raw?

I am thinking of making sushi rolls with just enough rice, more cucumbers, some avocado and tuna or salmon. Tasty and filling, especially if you get in more fresh shiet.

Jeeze Vitaliy, that's not good. I'm no expert, but I know that's bad for the long term at least. And it means your gut bacteria are not happy.

So my late breakfast has altered to include half cup barley, a half cup oatmeal with bananas and either blueberries or frozen cherries, then topped off with ground flax.

167lbs at mid-morning today: 5 lbs down from the start, but some of that attributable to level of hydration etc. Running fairly regularly, 5-7km a day, some core work and limited kettle bell. Prior to challenge I pulled or have a minor tear on a muscle in my back/shoulder, so my range of exercise is a bit limited and pissing me off. 21 hours of international flights await, will have to exercise some control so I am not a grazing and guzzling cow.

I'm still only down 6.7 overall. Cake and stuff last weekend kind of ruined it. But, I've lost weight less every morning since the start EXCEPT the three mornings after I had alcohol the night before. I guess that's my answer!

I ate one meal yesterday and given i'm about to head to the dentist I probably won't eat much today. Also on antibiotics and tramadol so alcohol is out. But that's ok - i've gotta finish my pilots license and get DTAP off the ground.

I'm stuck between 4-5 pounds. I have a sick cat who has been keeping me up at night... lack of sleep drains my willpower pretty quick. Haven't had trouble keeping up the exercise schedule--it's already part of my routine and I just upped the frequency and duration a little bit. But I've had more food than I need the last couple days.

I did a hangboard session before climbing, which felt good. But sucked ass climbing. Upper body is sore. Lower body is very sore from Tuesday's workouts. Recovering today and tomorrow with diet only on the agenda. Going to Yosemite for the weekend.

Now that you're no longer carrying all that tonnage you'll have a much better chance...

yeah, at least 50 feet earlier on the runway!

Vitally if you really want to get things moving a coffee enema will do wonders.

So... still no food today. One side of my mouth is number. Just got a root canal. They take 10 minutes these days.

No fair removing body parts, nature! Oh wait -- you keep the tooth on a root canal, right?

I weighted myself in at 169.5 last night, WITHOUT working out during the day and BEFORE taking a dump. So feel good about it. This weekend may put another dent in my diet though. But who knows, I expect to exert a good amount.

What I mean by them taking 10 minutes is they've got the process down as well as the technology. After you are all numbed up it's a matter of drilling to the root, either removing it or cleaning out the canal, irrigating it, adding an antiseptic which is left for a week and then putting in a temp filling. I'll go back in a week when they will open it up again, irrigate it one more time and then insert the final piece and then seal it up. I'm left with a temp filling so I still have the process of getting the crown.

This is how endodontists roll these days. My first dentist told me as much.

I've not really eaten in a few days and the scale reflects that. Not exactly the way I wanted this to work especially since we got over a foot of snow and I'd like to get out and kick some turns.

Dad,

No kidding! The way I figure it that's like $7200/hour.

We're in the wrong biz!

In the same boat. Just got a temporary crown, and heading to Mexico next Weds for the root canal: $280 -vs- $1100 in Reno.

Still doing the crown local - $920 is not bad, plus I have friends who have had crowns done in Mexico and they have told me their dentists can tell the crown was south of the border. But a root canal? No-one will ever see that.

Plus, I can pick up some good tequila!

Diet is going pretty good. I'm down 4/5 pounds already. My calf seems to have healed, so I've been able to start climbing again a couple days a week. I've also been doing palates. I'm sticking to paleo-type meals. Usually just oatmeal for breakfast. I've got a couple of friends insisting that wheat is the source of my chronic sinus issues, so I'm piggybacking a month of wheat/gluten-free experimentation to see if it helps the health issue.

after not eating for two days i'm now down 8.4 lbs. I'm going to keep going past the 10 lbs.

I'm seriously thinking of getting most of the work done in Bali since i'm traveling there in 4 months anyway. Poor me - having to stay in Indonesia for an extra couple weeks. poor me... poor poor me. It basically pays for the trip.
